Can someone enlighten me?

People will say that cod is easy and that’s partially true, you do have to have good aim because of sway. You also need to get used to the map design, which is atrocious and broken because of the spawning. The weapons kill quick so you just need to be alert and shoot first. If your good at those things then its easy for you.
Because you have to practice no matter what you are doing. The games aren’t that equal that you can master it without any practice. You need to know the maps, the weapons, the routes people tend to go (and camp), etc. However, since you are good in Halo and you know the basics of a shooter, you will learn Call of Duty faster than someone who have never played a shooter before.
Great hand/eye coordination, but not very smart?
I dunno. I’m waaaay better at Call of Duty because its pretty easy to dominate the game when you’re smarter than everyone else. All you have to do is get the first shot off.
CoD plays way different than Halo. For the most part in Halo people are running in open space, there are few maps where you’re actively trying to see as much as possible while exposing as little of yourself as possible. It’s also way easier to spot Spartans than the soldiers in CoD, the battles are more team based (I follow teammates in Halo but play like a lone wolf in CoD).
> Great hand/eye coordination, but not very smart?
Nope, I’m really smart.
I’m good at CoD, but bad at Halo. Maybe since 10 year olds play CoD.

I was teasing.
But seriously, COD isn’t much more than putting yourself in position to get the first shot on somebody. Find the safe portions of the map, understand your enemy’s behavior as quickly as possible, customize your classes to accentuate your skillset, and voila, you win. Doesn’t require the coordination/ability that Halo does.
I was better at CoD black ops compared to Halo Reach. cant comment to much on Blops 2 compared to H4, because I have not played Blops 2.

I see. But I will admit, I do seem to have better reflexes than alot of people in CoD, but I still get a low score.
Contrary to what many on this forum will have you believe, CoD does require some skill to be successful. (skill gap maybe smaller, but it still exists.
Also reaction time is a major factor in CoD, whoever reacts first will normally get the kill. Unlike Halo where you have to drop a opponents shields, CoD requires only a few bullets to eliminate the opposing player.
Teamwork is less important in CoD, you have to rely on yourself this can take some getting use to.
The more you play, the less handicap you receive: As with many games now, including H4 to some extent, the better you get at the game, the more the game rewards you with an advantage (better weapons, perks, accessories etc).
So instead of the age old rules of sportsmanship, where a more experienced player would handicap themselves, FP’s actually operate opposite to this. Giving the more experienced player an extra advantage.
This means you just have to grind to get better.
Definitely familiarity with the maps, mechanics and tactical methods also play a major part. In essence only experience will help.
If you are looking for an alternate game to play other than Halo, may i suggest you try Battlefield 3. I find it much more rewarding than Cod (and Halo4). I highly recommend it (although it too is not without faults).
Good luck!
Because you don’t have the patience to be a camper.

I don’t really like Battlefield, my brother and my dad does, though.
Ah that is a shame, i really enjoy battlefield 3. Just seem to be on a completely different level to both Halo and CoD.
So many maps, vehicles, classes, weapons, individual experiences and genuine teamwork.
Each to their own i guess, ‘whatever floats your boat’ as my dog used to say.

I recommend Murder Miners, weird thing is, I’m worse at this game, than I am at Halo, even on Halo maps.
Each game in their current state Black Ops 2 is a way better game…You have leagues and competions and a huge incentive to win. Halo 4 is a laggy mess with over powered and unbalanced weapons. 343 needs step it up if its gonna bring people back.

If you are looking for another fun game to play and you are okey with playing on another console or PC and genre, may I suggest Mario Kart for Wii, and League of Legends for the PC. To me, they both surpass Reach and Halo 4 in excitement. They both give you a goal to work forward as they both include a visible elo-system, and you will have no problems finding a game in them because League of Legend is the most played Pc-game of all times and Mario Kart has over 29 million copies sold.
Call of Duty is a faster paced game then Halo.

Fixed.

Blops 2 and Halo 4 aren’t that laggy at all. And there’s only 2 overpowered weapons in Halo 4, and they aren’t anything game-breaking.
