Why is 343i releasing campaign gameplay through youtubers days before Infinites release? I see small time Halo tubers playing it, not just our lord and savior Mint Blitz.
They’re a form of media. If they gave it to insiders, they might as well give it to everyone since they allowed us all in the later flights.
It’s to promote the game & increase excitement for it’s launch
Just a side note, I wish they hadn’t have revealed so much of the campaign, the first one or two levels would’ve been fine but …four?
Most of the content creators you see playing are also Insiders as well as members of the Forerunners, the group of Halo content creators that’s been playtesting Infinite since 2019 and giving feedback. Also, giving certain content creators early access allows for that creator’s audience to get a small glimpse into the game and therefore create more hype and generate sales for the game. It’s something every AAA game studio is doing these days. This doesn’t include the fact that when you give someone like HiddenXperia, who is very vocal about the mistakes made in Halo 5, early access and they say nothing but great things about the campaign, that makes other skeptics of Infinite excited and even more willing to buy the game.
