Anyone else realised that we were given a poll by 343i to vote for what playlist we want for the weekend. This clearly shows that each individual playlist offered was already available yet they won’t let simply add it to the game now for us to use, I mean wtf!
They tell us that they are releasing “free” weekly content when in reality they are letting us use and test out half the content we paid for and releasing the content we have ALREADY PAID FOR weekly as “FREE” DLC. Do they think we are stupid? This is just a clever marketing campaign making 343i seem better than they are when in reality they are just limiting the content use we have paid for. How about you give us all the completed content instead of half the game or a “beta”. You shouldn’t have to keep taking maps out and adding them because you should have ALREADY testing them. The fact they are doing this and using us to test their maps and game modes shows that were are not playing the full game we paid for but a content cut beta instead
Instead of giving us all of the playlists, for us to wear out fast, they’re instead releasing them as weekend playlists. Giving us the voting option was an excellent idea, too.
I perceive that sometime in the future, more playlists will be made available in Arena.
You, and others in the same mindset, need to remember that the game has been out a little over a week. Give it time.
CTF and Strongholds already exist in Team Arena. You can play them currently. As for Shotty Snipes, it’s pretty easy to set up that gametype in Custom Games. I’m not exactly sure what “content” you believe is being barred from us. Halo has had Weekend Playlists like this for a long time.

Yeah but the content is already boring as we run around the same maps and limited playlists over and over again, they should at least add maybe 8 arena playlists to give more variety and more choice I’ve never seen a game launch with such little multiplayer content other than evolved and destiny

Give it some time. People play at different rates. I for example have completed the Campaign on normal, and have played ~50 matches of Warzone. Some will have played less. Some have played more.
Like I said, there’ll be more content on the way. You just have to have patience, and try to find a good pace

In what reality do you live in where we used to pay less for games?

Yes and then you realise that other halos launched with:
team doubles
team snipers
infection
oddball
griffball
king of the hill
btb( warzone does not count it’s terrible and nothing alike)
assault
and many more, this time they have all that ready abut aren’t gunna give that to you because they seem like a much better company if they advertise it as free DLC and release it later. If they want to add free DLC why not make some new game modes instead of just adding the same old playlists from previous halos the game should have launched with. This would be like battlefield making a new game then adding rush a couple weeks later and saying it is fee DLC. it’s not it’s already premade it’s just good advertising
Playlist consolidation helps to improve matchmaking quality. The more people in the matchmaking pool gives the matchmaking system more options to better match opponents. Less people in the pool means more lag, a greater divergence in player skill, longer matchmaking times.

Did you ever own a PS2 of Xbox 360 in the early days
I don’t know where you saw “free weekly content,” but I don’t think they are trying to pass this as DLC. On release, they could have easily and would have added every playlist ever invented (as shotty snipes is just removing all the weapons on the map and changing the loadout to snipers and shotguns), if they wanted. However, that’s not the goal. They don’t want people having trouble finding games and they want players to really dig into the main modes. As time goes on they’ll add weekly playlist and if we like them enough they’ll make a spot in the permanent arena playlist.
And yes, its only been a week, patience. Now they have added more variety to each playlist. For example, Team Slayer has double the maps available to play. More content is coming, but I don’t think the messaging is that this playlist update is DLC.

It’s dosent make it any easier to read anyways it just looks neater which I couldn’t give a -Yoink- about
Wow people are really trying hard to bring this game down. Apparently this guy doesn’t want maps and playlists to be updated because thats what he is complaining about. Would you rather they didn’t listen to player feedback or charged us for stuff that should have been included in the game? If so I have the perfect game for you: Destiny!
This has nothing to do with the free dlc campaign. There are going to be atleast 12 maps that have not been released yet given to players completly free in the coming months, so unknot your -Yoink!-.

I know right. Games have always been $50 to $60. And even today you could have gotten halo for $50 via Amazon Prime.
The Halo that released 8 DAYS AGO has a full campaign (solo or co-op), Warzone with 3 huge maps, Breakout with like 6 designated maps, and Arena with 8 designated maps. With features like Spartan customization (+150 armor sets), Theater and spectator modes, more weapons than any past halo, and a ranking system. Halo 5 is definitely on the short list with games with the MOST content. With more still coming… for free.
