If Halo isn’t dead it sure is dying, 343i have continuously hindered Halo’s ability to break back into the mainstream gaming space & I truly don’t believe Infinite can recover, regardless of what gimmick mode is being worked on by Certain Affinity.
Right, Like honestly After Elden Ring, I just went nope this is my base standard for a game release.
Maybe one day if they actually try 343 will actually be on the same.lwvel as From software when it comes to Game launches…
Right now they are struggling just to do the bare minimum stuff.
Hell maybe From Software should go over there and go e them pointers.

I was actually happen with one game… Elden Ring… man was it amazing playing a game that was complete at launch, who knows maybe 343 will eventually get on FromSoftwares level of game launches.
Right now they are arriving to do just the bare minimum…kinda sucks. But when they get to Elden Ring levels of launch I will be happy.
Even if this roadmap was released prior to now, i dont think the precedent would change much.
Forge delay, coop delay, season delay, along with little content? I think no matter when this would have been revealed the community would have looked at it with distain anyways.
All these updates and roadmaps do for me now is make me wonder what is actually taking place behind closed doors at 343, and if they are practicing that theory about giving monkeys typewriting but instead with code and 3d models
Ive been seeing you a lot around the forums, its nice to like things and be hopefull for the game, but you are literally letting your love for the game blind you to its issues.
KoTH is fun, i agree, one of my favourite modes, should not be celebrating its return, it should have been there day 1.
Armours look sick, i agree, we have yet to see whats actually earnable through gameplay, it could be another 1000$ store offering situation all over again.
And i really hate to burst your bubble, but coop is PLANNED to release season 2, they want it for this season but it might not happen, and forge isnt until season 3 but its not still gonna be season 2 because they extended the season again.
Sure there are reasons to be happy, but theres also a million other things coming with that bring problems and the already large mount of problems already facing the game, please avoid calling people upset with the state of the game “whiners” when they dont like the fact that season 2 is gonna have the exact same issues as season 1 with few to little to no fixes to what made season 1 a problem in the first place

You are correct, its a glorified ad with some info about what they wanna do this season with no info on how they will go about it
Halo is doomed, there wont be any players left in season 3, maybe 5000 tops.
I mean there wont be many players online in the summer time.
I think that Season 2 will peak after the first weekend, or it may not peak at all if people have starting playing other game.
Yup, no mention of a progression system. I want to see my actions in game and my XP converted into an overall player progression rank. I want my actions to mean something in game. Take a hill gain some XP Towards that overarching career stats. Every MP game in the market has all 3 these days including other F2P games. BP, competitive ranking, and overall player rank. All their previous halos had this…why is it absent here, and why do they think this is acceptable?
There isn’t even a section in game to see my stats.

I believe the only thing keeping Infinite afloat at this point is MCC, since it keeps people engaged with the franchise. If they keep up these lackluster seasons though I fear it won’t survive past S3.
Idk how accurate this is, but I thought I had read somewhere earlier in the year that they didn’t include all that to start off with because they supposedly thought it was “toxic,” for players to be focusing on their individual stats.
Which is ironic if it is true because I think the challenge system in Infinite is way worse.

6 months wait for another arena map (i don’t play BTB)
no word about desync
no word about the progression system → likely season 4 or 5
no word about the bad UI and redesign
no word about cross core customization
no word about custom game browser or match composer
no word about other ranked playlists
no word about an ingame report for cheaters
no word about a look at the ban/quit/afk problem
but again, many words about work life/balance. It’s a good thing for certain, but seriously… stop bringing it up every freaking time you have to explain the poor management of the game.
So if this is a roadmap 343 comes up after 7 months… I highly doubt we even see a season 5 or 6 before the servers are turned of…

I always thought the best way to do the career stats was through a formal stats API and let third parties do their thing.
But for some reason nothing has been released to the public. The Halo 5 API was great fun to poke around in.
All we get at the moment is limited access by sites like Halo Tracker.

I don’t think its a great idea to let 3rd parties handle it exclusively, because then they could potentially monetize it.

It was part of the API contract. You were only given access if you signed an agreement not to charge for the use of the information. I think you could have ads on your apps but nothing else.

I just came back from like a month break from all things Infinite and saw this roadmap. Suffice to say after maybe playing for a couple weeks in season 2, that’ll be it for Infinite and I’ll probably end up uninstalling and never playing Halo again.
I’m just dumbstruck that a franchise I once loved to play has been destroyed like it has been. Infinite was the final chance for Halo to go back to the good old days and it failed beyond comprehension. I won’t be buying or playing another Halo game after Infinite. My Halo days are done.

This game has really just bombed. My brothers and I just watch and laugh as this ship sinks. I never thought I’d feel this way about halo, but I can’t hold out anymore. My kids like the old halos and the gears games. At least those are still done right.

The only fun with Halo Ininfiinte is Tbag when winning.
There is no reason to play, I cant even gain or loose rank in team slayer.
There is zero motivation to continue playing this game.

Everything. Frankly I’m offended you’re so close minded about how businesses function. The sense of entitlement you must feel to think companies have a responsibility to deliver quality to you, the Consumer, is deeply disturbing. I’ll have to spend HOURS processing these emotions in my safe spaces otherwise I’ll be an emotional wreck.

@Eefphur because 343 has word vommited said their piece and last I checked - which was a while ago - they’ve provided minor improvements with a lot of lip service. At some point people get tired of talking to themselves and preaching to the choir.
