Last night there were only 15k online. That is not good.
There’s 61,000+ playing right now.
How are the numbers going to go up? Wait for the time which the more people will be playing to come.
They won’t.
It happens in every game, it will peak in a few months and it will be glorious
Have no fear. Yesterday was Vday… commonly used for dating and social interaction outside the video game realm…
> It happens in every game, it will peak in a few months and it will be glorious
Didnt happen with Reach. Why would it happen with Halo 4 when more people hate Halo now?
You kids have it easy. Back in the old days we would have been thrilled with 15k simulatenous players. Try counting up to that OP, fifteen thousand people isn’t a number to snear at. That’s a decent sized town all engaged in one communal activity. Sure, other games may have more but you shouldn’t let yourself be that childish.

Define “people.” Keep in mind that we here on the forums don’t count.
15k is more people that you will ever meet in your life.
You shouldn’t be worried about it; you’re still finding matches.
Agree 100%^^^
As long as you can find a match be happy. As for numbers going down I don’t know if they the number is time specific or 24hr. but I can say I haven’t played as much as I used simply because I no longer have the time to play for hours on end.
I don’t know, should I care? Should any of you care? I mean, as long as there’s enough to keep matchmaking times at a decent search rate, then you really shouldn’t care.
I could care less if this game isn’t as popular as BO2. In fact, I’d rather it not be so popular.
Until you can’t find a game who cares?
343 is finally doing the right things. Patching the Boltshot, and creating a real competitive play list that adds what Halo 4 has been lacking since day one, consistency.

It is rare that it goes above that for long.
They can fix it by putting the game back where it should be playlists that play how it should and make it back to the competitive area that it use to dominate in!

that still nothing, go back to this time of reaches release, there would be at least 150k online
I suspect it’s going to go up some with the competitive playlists finally being implemented. As well when the TU hits.
I do however see this not lasting too long if competitive stays with MLG settings. That just feels like a step backward when this game has so much more to offer.
If Spartan Ops goes away after season one, then that’s going to hurt too. It may not have the numbers like War Games does, but it’s a vital part to keep Halo 4 fresh.
We’ll all have a better idea by the end of the month of how the game is going to hold up over the long run. I’m rooting for 343 to do a great job with competitive and the TU.
Now if we also had theater for Campaign and Spartan Ops… (Gawd, I’d LOVE that!)
it’s just going to stabalize the populatiion for a couple of weeks before it goes down again.

I’m afraid nothing short of a new game will get numbers up. None of my friends from past Halos will play it anymore, if they even bothered picking it up in the first place. Seems like a large majority of people view the franchise as dead or something.
All eyes on Bungie tomorrow morning.

You’re all a mess. This game is flimsy and floppy. It’s not terrible, neither best.
I can’t see this game surpassing a surplus population of Halo 2/3. That horrid game Reach tainted and raped Halo carrying over a -Yoink!- to Halo 4. We get half functional predecessor & fail unwanted garbage.
Halo lost magic and looks like a rehashed or polished Reach. Among the thousand bullet list of issues, one of them is “Boring.”
This is a on/off game, nobody dedicated to the franchise anymore.
March Break and Team Throwdown. I know I’ll be playing.
Do you know about HaloCharts? It shows hourly and daily peak population. Yesterday there were at least 50K on.
Here are a few things I’m convinced would increase the population.
[/li]- Both ranked and social playlists
- Spectator mode
- More maps (small-medium in size)
