How are some playing now?

Seriously, people are streaming hw2 full content on twitch. How?

Good question

It’s to show off the start of the game and some multiplayer. Standard stuff when it comes to generating interest in a game

A few people posted on reddit about getting their copies shipped early.

That’s kinda bull. And kinda invalidates the whole “get to play earlier if you get the Ultimate Edition” thing.

Also, those retailers who shipped early are risking a lot. Game companies do not like having their announced dates disregarded. Retailers have gotten in trouble before for releasing games too early.

That’s my understanding. They did the same thing with Halo 5 by releasing access keys to select people.

Media and some influencers have received early codes for review purposes - pretty standard fare. A preview embargo lifted today and then at 12:01 AM on Feb. 16 the embargo lifts for everyone to post their full reviews. Additionally there have been reports of some players getting copies early from retailers (which shouldn’t be happening). Be wary of spoilers, the next few days might get a little hectic.

MS should just unlock the digital purchases then

For what purpose, Master Chief?

Its not like a whole load of people got the game early. Just a few.

Virtually every major video game release sees some copies slipping through the cracks and getting into a small number of peoples hands early. If Microsoft unlocks digital copies early they are going to end up annoying their retail partners.

it’s what is done in Australia (I am told). If there is a slip up all retailers who have the copy must start selling it…digital included if I remember right. It’s a good way to make sure people do their job right.

Review copies mate, their only allowed to show multiplayer and some campaign missions to the public, it’s very limited.

As an Aussie, I can honestly say I’ve never heard of or experienced that. That said, I haven’t experienced a Drop Bear attack either, that doesn’t mean they don’t happen.
