Today I decided to rank in 3 more playlists I generally do horrid in by comparrison. Each match, either my team won, or my team lost but I was one of the top 2 player on average. Im diamond onthemthough
Does your individual performance have a much bigger impact on your placement matches now? Because I have diamond on 3 playlists I never have been able to get but I performed really well individually regardless if I won or not. I’m a little confused and I can’t find the most recent update about it.

My dude, not all playlists are equal. The amount of competitive players gravitating to specific playlists, plus the relative skill level of those players, plus your experience in those game modes all lead to different outcomes in each playlist. Each playlist is like a skill set you have to master. Just because you’re great at slayer or FFA, does not mean you’re great at other playlists. I’ve also noticed that Social Quick Play is sweaty af. I can dominate diamonds and onyxs in slayer, then drop in social and get monkey stomped.
That being said, I’m pretty sure individual performance factors rather highly into qualifying matches but don’t quote me on that. I’m pretty sure if you finish top of your team, regardless of the outcome of the match, you still are ranked favorably.
This new ranking system is… odd.
Today, I played a few games of Team Arena where I was an Onyx 1507. Lost my first game, but was the only one with a positive KDA on my team. I went down one point to 1506. Okay.
I then won the next game with solid stats and ranked back up to… 1507.
Then won another game, again with solid stats, and it increased to… 1508.
I then lost the next two games, only one of which I played “negative,” and ranked down to Diamond 6. So I played another right after ranking down, which I won as one of the top players, and I’m still a Diamond 6. I don’t understand any of it lol
