After doing insanely well the past couple seasons individually in arena yet being ranked really low, im now confused as to how u get ranked for a arena season. I have people on bungie.net forums telling me that now arena is solely based on wins and losses which i was never aware of this change and if true seems counter productive to what bungie was trying to do in the first place. But this cant be true because i seen people who have worse win record than me and a WAY WAY worse KD than me yet they are ranked higher.
Win/loss. The rankings of the players you beat affect how much a particular victory will increase your own rank, I think.
The numerical rating for individual performance is no longer used, as it promoted teamkilling and generally-selfish behavior. K/D has never been used – quite fortunate, since it’s so easy to boost.
But doesnt this method still promote boosting? I mean what if a team of 4 has three great players and 1 bad and the bad player does not contribute but wins a lot because of the other 3?
Like this season so far here are my stats
Win Record: 25/40
16.4 Kills a game
2.7 Assists a game
8 Deaths a game
2.07 KD Ratio
2.4 KD/A Ratio
I dont play with a team I only play with 1 friend of mine who is NOT very good, he has a negative KD for the season and a GOOD game for him is getting 9 kills in the game, yet he is ranked above me right now in arena, im a silver by the way LOL. This friend I play with basically is getting carried by me every game and if we win it is because of me but he reaps the rewards? That doesnt seem right
