Frankie and Quinn both saying that ‘Spartan Abilities are not Armor Abilities?’
You can call a goose a duck. Doesn’t make it one.
All in all this doesn’t make sense unless people are just jumping to conclusions and assuming that SAs are going to be nothing like AAs or just shoved into the corner and they’ll have no presence at all in the game.
Either that or people have either an extremely narrow view of what AAs are. Equipment, AAs, and likely even these new SAs are all part of the same conceptual family. Moving the concept just a hair to the left or the right by changing the wheres, the hows, and what they specifically do and calling it a different name doesn’t really mean anything.
They’ve said “SA’s are not AA’s”. Though that sentence alone doesn’t mean AA’s are gone either, it does not even mention if AA’s are staying or leaving.

Probably as a concept that they’re known now as. Equipment is different from AAs but they serve the same purpose.

And to be honest a one time use as a map pick up is a lot better than spawning with what you want and use it almost whenever you want.
AAs are gone, SAs are a new replacement. Its as simple as that. And if AAs are gone, would the same apply to perks, loadouts, ordnance, and sprint? I think not.

They could. I can see loadouts coming back with perks scrapped just because were really unbalanced. Sprint most likely will return but with the ability to toggle it on or off in the settings.

I’m just suggesting a better concept for the idea of Abilities
It’s still not clear if the concept of abilities, as in an item that you use that does something other than shoot bullets or variations thereof, has been removed or not.
SAs could be AAs reworded and retweaked in the same fashion that AAs are Equipment reworded and retweaked.

I believe this is just wishful thinking. Just like some are going to wishfully think that the Halo 4 MP will have a healthy population even after MCC comes out.
I don’t believe there is much else that anyone call tell you since you seem to want to disregard a direct quote from more than one 343 source.
> I believe this is just wishful thinking. Just like some are going to wishfully think that the Halo 4 MP will have a healthy population even after MCC comes out.
I’m inclined to believe the same about the inverse.
And I can’t honestly believe that anyone is going to think that H4 is going to have a healthy MP pop after MCC.

I’m not disregarding the quotes.
Something is happening with AAs and SAs. Exactly what that is, isn’t clear in my mind.
