Imagine Chief getting pinned against a wall by the “arch nemesis” we’re going to encounter. The arbiter should just jump out of nowhere and drive an energy sword through the bad guy right before the chief is about to die, and the Arbiter will be so random and he would be a total boss.
Errrhm… Sounds like one of the typical ‘‘Hero about to die - suddenly wild ally appears to save him’’ moments.
If Arby is coming back, i’d rather have him show up aboard the Infinity, or with a small fleet of Cruisers.
its to predictable. I would have thought that the chief and the arbiter are together and then they find all these dead covenant and remains of prometheans and thats when the ur-didact steps out of the shadow.
Wonder if his armour would have changed as well.(If he does return)
But the most questionable thing is that there hasn’t been a peep or hinting at him returning at all.
No, I mean him not being in the game at all until this point
How about sneaking up on Chief all camoed up as if he weren’t an ally, a la Halo 3?
Either way this should hold a lot of emotion. At least for Thel. He seemed rather beat up to see Chief go.
I think the Arbiter will come in, in Halo 5 as a valuable ally against the Ancient Evil along with his fleet of ships and start to turn the tide of the battle.
Hes got bigger problems on his home world during Halo 4.
The Arbiter shouldn’t just randomly pop up to save the Chief’s -Yoink-. That’s deus ex machina or as I like to call it: bad writing. I think his comeback should be built up throughout the game, the UNSC will make mentions of elite reinforcements here and there, and then The Arbiter will make a grand entrance spearheading the elite’s assault on the Ancient Evil’s lair. There will be cruiser’s in the air hammering on the Ancient Evil’s main defenses while the infantry push forward, wiping out any resistance. And when The Chief is ready to face The Ancient Evil, The Arbiter will give his comrade his personal energy sword, wish him luck, and then turn around and continue fighting off hordes of promethean knights. Epic.
I don’t know that’s just an idea, 343 will probably come up with something better.
That’s a bit to random, IMO. That kind of thing is always funny if when it happens in MM, though.
Anyway, I’d rather he show up on Spartan Ops with a group of green Phantoms with sepretist allies.
But sepretists is really pushing it.
No arby in campaign. Maby in spartan ops but I doubt it.
I rather him not return in Halo 4 at all. Especially how the art is looking for covies.
He could be mentioned in the story, or see him on a big screen talking to the chief.
I want him to step off a covenant ship with moas flying out behind him …oh yea…and wearing a pair of oakleys
Deus Ex Machina? No way.
Yes Arby has been known to appear like a badass. And by that I mean all of a sudden, unexpected, like when he crashed his Banshee when pursuing the Heretic leader and on Sierra 117. But I think it should be before or after battle. During battle is too cliche.
Sorry OP, but that’s probably one of the most cliched ways to play out his return. I hate those “ally suddenly appears out of nowhere to save hero” moments. It’s been done countless times. Oh, and don’t count on Arby to appear in this game.
> I rather him not return in Halo 4 at all. Especially how the art is looking for covies.
You mean amazingly -Yoink!- and evil looking. Yea
He should stab his sword through chief into the enemy. then the chief goes unconscious until H5 >:D

I would love to see Arby personalizing his sword and customizing his armor (like in H3, giving it a flashlight).
Having such an important role in Halo 2/3, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Arbiter made a return in the new trilogy…
in fact, I sincerely hope he does.
He should appear in Halo 5 or Halo 4’s Spartan Ops mode, without being introduce through such a contrived and overdone encounter.
