Seriously. I’m not that good.
9 out of 10 qualifying games I got throttled. Solos/Duos and it feels like I’m getting matched up against people all in one party. Meanwhile, my team is all going off in different directions.
This is supposed to be skill based matched making? Where are the people my skill level I’m supposed to be matching up against? I’d like to win more than 10 percent of my games.
TLDR: SBMM needs adjustment.
It goes by playing the objectives. So if the game thinks you are playing the the objectives it’ll give you rank even if your KD is horrible or your team loses.
Yea, I’ve heard it’s largely based on score. If that’s the case, then deaths really don’t matter.
The game doesn’t rank based on skill, there are total nobodies getting onyx
Score, time holding oddball/CTF captures, most enemy oddball/CTF holders killed and time spent closest to friendly holding the objective are how the game decides rank. In slayer it goes by KD. However Halo’s KD system takes into account assist as well. So if you go 3 and 10 but have 10 assists then the game will view that as 13 and 10 for final score. Which would give you a positive KD and therefore reward you rank. It’s all team based. No solo wolves in this Halo ranked system.
Is this why I just had a teammate go ZERO AND EIGHTEEN in an oddball game?
No, he wasn’t holding the oddball. He actually got 4 assists in 3 total rounds of oddball.
