So, the MCC was a disaster and 343 apparently wants to compensate us for screwing up the crown jewels of halo all at one time in a glorious 1080p package of fail. I think, Instead of ODST and/ or Reach, whatever you guys are wanting to do (Which just blows my mind at how they want to throw more games at us when MCC is in such a bad state) How about, if you really want to show everyone you really care, let us have access to this beta until 5 comes out and keep trying different things and let the community have a direct hand in fine tuning the halo multiplayer experience for halo 5. Let the real community help you make halo 5 a great game.
I have personally enjoyed the Halo 5 beta a lot so far, of course it still needs a lot of work but to my surprise it is A LOT of fun. I am the average halo elitist when it comes to keeping it original and competitive but I’ve come to the realization that they cant just release halo 2 or halo 3 over and over again, it HAS to evolve it HAS to change somewhat or whats the point. It’s fun and it has a chance to be really competitive.
The beta isn’t entertaining. It has shown me exactly what they intend to do with halo 5 but unless they fix their maps I’m sticking with tmcc. There is no real excitement in these maps as they cater beyond the point of ridiculousness for all these new abilities especially clamber. Lockout would only have 2 useful areas on the map where jumping is skilful these halo five maps have something to jump and climb around nearly every corner.

This. I wouldn’t mind helping out with beta testing, but at the same time id get burnt out.
I mean use it more like a public test realm, use pretty much the same system they have now, limited number of maps, one or 2 playlists. They dont have to showcase everything, keep to the plan they have now, but focus more on core mechanics down the road. Not really something to be played religiously and hopefully MCC will be fixed sometime in the near future. If your going to get burned out on it in under a year then that’s the point. Let them let us help them make it a game we can play competitively for years to come like counter-strike. you see what I’m getting at?

Good points, it could also be the person. I can play Halo religiously (4-10 hours a day, 7 days a week) for a year. Obviously for some, that’s not a problem and they wont get burnt out. For me itd be hard to play after that year.

Did anyone say anything about them not fixing it? I want it fixed as much as the next person I promise. I just want to see a bright future for halo. I love the MCC but it’s not the future of halo.
I don’t think that this is the best idea. The beta is meant to acquire feedback to make Halo 5 as good as possible and to receive the community’s reaction on the new changes brought to the series. If the beta was prolonged by a year, it would stop being a beta and become free Halo 5 multiplayer. Plus, at that point, many players may have gotten their fair share of the game and decide to not purchase the final product. Not to mention that they would have to put aside resources to keep the Beta going and up to date. It’s a terrible plan for business, really.

I agree with you 100%. You’re right, i just don’t trust 343 to handle it that long behind closed doors lolol. but considering MCC from a public relations stand point it can’t be to far fetched. I mean they are considering setting aside resources for ODST. Look, I’d like to be surprised as-well, just not halo 4 surprised.

How constructive, thanks for your input, that’s a great idea!

Fix. What’s. Already. There.
I don’t want compensation, I want to buy a working game.
Halo Ce should be using the console version, not the flawed PC Port.
Your crosshair shouldn’t move AWAY from someone as you move it close to them…
People shouldn’t have to be worried about buggy parties, or the game still going even though the other team has quit…

Word up, no doubt brother. Halo 2 is the -Yoink- vista port too…exactly as it shipped 10 years ago…right…

So much crying…why so sad whiney baby??? You and OP should get married. Halo CE MCC is good enough for console noobz…if your so hard core then step up those balls and place a PC.

In the end, I think it would at least give 343 an idea of how well Halo 5 retains it’s population (compared to Halo 4.) Who knows, maybe it ages well.
Worst case scenario, people rip out their hair if any of the beta maps are in the final game.
Everyone made good points, op too. It would be great if it was a long term test and tune but I’m afraid that wouldn’t be something they would consider.
