How about specializations for the rest of us?

So I just recently hit SR70, finishing out the wetwork and operator specializations, awesome. Well now that I have hit the level cap I cant gain ANY experience. Spec-ops, War Games, Commendations, monthly/weekly/daily challenges, absolutely no experience, NOTHING. I feel as though I am flushing my “would be gained” experience down the toilet.

I totally understand giving those that bought the game during launch a chance to get more than wetwork and operator first. I think that those that spent the extra money on the collector’s edition should have gotten it even sooner. But the game has now been out for over 2 months. Many of those that had access to the specializations codes have completed ALL 8 of the specializations and reached their SR130 cap. Some of those that we affected by the e-mail problem have even since received their codes and completed their SR130. As for the rest of us, we have hit the SR70 level cap and now seem to be sitting here with nothing to do. (that is the nice way of putting it…)

What now? I have no need to waste value experience from commendations if it will not go towards something, especially if it may become available later. I have no want to purchase any of the new map packs because I cant work towards a final goal. There is no incentive for me to play or buy anything related to the multiplayer for halo 4 until this issue is resolved, because I’m not playing it. And since I’m not spending money on halo, it may have to go elsewhere.

I’m not asking that I’m given access right now. I’m not flaming 343 for not making a good game. I’m just looking for a time frame, a plan of action. When will the rest of us get access to the other specializations? Hell I would be perfectly ok with only having wetwork and operator if I could still GAIN experience. Help me out here 343.

I would like to know who else out there is stuck in this same situation?

New specializations will begin being released this Monday, January 21st. Two will be released per week, with the first two being Pathfinder and Pioneer.

I appreciate the help on that! I was unable to find anything that listed the dates.

As far as Halo 4 goes, we have some fun stuff planned for late January and beyond. After the Infinity Challenge concludes, regular Matchmaking updates will start up again (and that includes the return of the second half of Spartan Ops Season 1, which features brand new stories, missions and locations). It’s important to note the below scheduled is not finalized and could very well change, but as of right now, here is what we’re tentatively planning:

Week of 1/21
Spartan Ops Episode 6: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic.
“Forge Test” playlist (name not final): A rotational hopper featuring small Forge maps such as Relay. Help us test these maps by providing feedback and reporting bugs that will assist us in getting them ready for Matchmaking!
Specializations: Pioneer and Pathfinder Specializations unlocked for all players.

Week of 1/28
Spartan Ops Episode 7: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic.
Grifball playlist: A rotational hopper featuring everybody’s favorite virtual sport. Catch the disease!
Specializations: Engineer and Stalker Specializations unlocked for all players.

Week of 2/4
Spartan Ops Episode 8: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic.
Team Doubles playlist: A rotational hopper for those of you that like action of the 2 vs 2 variety.
Specializations: Rogue and Tracker Specializations unlocked for all players.
