You’re so busy testing your sandbox tweaks, eh? Well you told us you were so busy testing H4 that you didn’t need a public beta. How’d that turn out for you, again?
I think you should approach this a bit smarter. Like uploading gametypes with the tweaked sandbox to the official fileshare so the public can test it some before Matchmaking release? It just makes sense. Why can’t that be done?
They were on a time crunch to release the game before CoD
Good idea.
A 343i employee should upload a gametype with the proposed changes to their fileshare so the community can test it out and start giving feedback.
They didn’t have time for a beta. Simply.
The tweaks keep changing and that would make things slower. If they release the gametype they need data collection which requires time. So many tweaks are being done.

Ah you almost got me. I thought for a moment that you were concerned about 343i’s work ethic, but you just want the tweaks to come out earlier.
It will be ready when its ready and it’s better to tweak what they have then release it, tweak it, release a new set, tweak it, etc etc.
Sounds like someone needed to vent. The Beta wasn’t meant to be for a number of reasons; no point continuing to throw that in their face.
One problem I see with the proposed approach is lack of significant input. In statistics it’s called sampling. With this proposed approach only a fraction of the playing population would give feedback, and you can’t count on those people to accurately represent the wider population.

I don’t think Halo should worry about CoD’s annual map pack that much.
I find this logic to be quite logical.
That IS a good idea. And that’s why it won’t happen.

Microsoft obviously does though, and with good reason. Halo 4’s low population isn’t entirely to do with it’s (in some peoples’ opinions) unsatisfactory gameplay.
