How about fist fighting when out of ammo?

We have all had the problem when all the bullets are gone, you have to rely the sometimes way to slow weapon melee, but what if after the bullets are gone your character would just drop the empty weapon and put his fists up readying to punch out the opposition.

Halo is a First Person Shooter. Gun melees are fine.

I mostly agree except for the slower heavy weapon melees and if you are out of rounds for both weapons it seems kind of silly to carry the dead weight. Another point I will make is that Spartans are educated in hand to hand combat as well as some mixed martial arts. Along with the fact that if you do beat down a enemy your more than likely to pick up his weapon in this case.

It’d be awesome if we could “swap” to our fists (i.e. via d-pad or button combo). Obviously, this’d be Campaign exclusive. Then we could have true Zero Shot runs!

Doesn’t matter. Halo is Flexible.

It can function as any genre of gaming with enough effort.

You can achieve the AI numbers seen in RTS games, be stealthy, explore out of the map and engineer encounters in open world, etc. As far as I’m concerned, Halo is the only game I need. It can be anything I want it to be.

That actually… sounds pretty awesome. Spartan fisticuffs! DO IT.

And @ people who say fists don’t belong in FPS’:

WAT? Doom’s done it thousands of times. Serious Sam: BFE, one of the purest FPS’ has fists. Even in Halo, the Energy Sword can be classified as true devoted melee.
