How about first person vehicle driving for halo 5?

I loved this idea in BF4, (not that I want H5 to be like BF4) and I think its a great trait of a next Gen game that makes you feel more immersed.

If you agree with me, got any more ideas? If you disagree, change my opinion!

Sure, as long as we can toggle.

I think it would work well if using Smart Scope in a vehicle put you into first person. Maybe in a passenger or gunner seat it can increase stability while reducing awareness.

I think its unnecessary, but I’m not against it.

this. Playing halo CE nauseates me everytime I get in passenger.

Hmm…don’t know…see these 2 screenshots (1p, 2p), not bad, but I prefer the third person camera look.

I don’t like 1st person vehicles, they really bothered me in Half Life, but if it was something we could toggle on and off in our personal settings, that’d be totally okay with me!

Sounds amazing i like it

I’m going to agree with most people here and say toggle, personally don’t see the need for first person views in vehicles since doesn’t feel like Halo just like it didn’t feel needed in GTA.

No. Driving vehicles in first person is always much harder. Take GTA V and Far Cry 4, for instance.
Besides it disrupts the contrast between the 1st person and 3rd person segments that have always defined Halo’s gameplay.

Overall, it would just be a waste of resources for something that degrades a player’s control of the vehicle.
The only positive aspect is that it’s more immersive for some.

Yes. Especially for flying vehicles.

If there’s an option to toggle between 1st and 3rd it could be an improvement.

If they added it, it will be like in GTAV. When they announce it, everyone will be like “Oh great, more immersion and realism!”, but after some games, people will toggle it to third person to have a better view of the environment while driving.
