H5 seems to lack a classic ODST armor set. Nightfall was closer in the beta but was modified to look more like the set in the Nightfall Series. Helljumper is ok, but is marred by white lines and cheek tumors.
If 343 likes to port/reuse assets, I think the H4 ODST would be a viable candidate, at least the body armor. It looked really nice and provided good coverage with clear resemblance to its ODST roots.

If it was to be ported, the helmet would need some adjustments on the visor to be more rigid like Helljumper and Recruit. Perhaps model it after the Halo:Reach base ODST helmet. That and some Texture improvements for Halo 5’s standards, but I hope it could work! 
I like the ODST armor from Halo 3 ODST.
Different variations could be Rookie, Dutch, and Romeo.

Agreed too. I’d really just like a faithful ODST set. Getting an updated Port from H4 just seems in my mind to be the most ‘viable’ suggestion. The sets in 3:ODST were great and had character to each of them.
It’d be nice to see a completely new model (i.e. not a port or remodel of 4’s). Helljumper is the spartan variant and Nightfall could be seen as a variant of the standard ODST armor. Maybe we could see a more classic helmet (like Helljumper without the toilet seat) with a bit of a armor variant of Nightfall with the backpack/parachute(?) (hopefully not as large as 4’s).

I’d like new set too. I’m just brainstorming for a new ODST variant. A new ODST helmet without the toilet bowl cheek tumors would be fantastic, regardless of means (unless it has a bunch of white lines or a round visor.)

With a thought process like that, I would hope Mark V(B) will return. That I just want the “armor” part of the armor though, couldn’t care about the helmet.

Halo Reach had a strong part in Firefight and MarkV(B) would be nice to have put in as well. I truly hope the next dlc update is very large as they seem to be hinting at. Large in content and armor of course that fits the theme.
