I have been a longtime fan of halo for many years and I play a lot of it,. However I took a break for a few months do when I came back I went ahead and bought he fourth map pack and download the third from my season pass. Now after playing for about 3 weeks I have yet to play on a single map from any of these packs effectively making my money wasted. Also after the adls playlist for the magistic DLC and the one before that I haven’t played on a single one of those maps, not a single time.
I can’t be the only guy who wants to play some new maps in multiplayer eg, the ones we bought because we like the game and want more of it. So who is haveing the same thoughts of a DLC only playlist where All DLC is required like the mythic playlist in Halo3
They should at least make it required to have the DLC to play certain playlists. Such as you need the first 2 map packs in order to play team slayer. That’s what was done in H3 and it worked pretty well. Until then, map pack maps will continue to go unplayed, that’s what happened in Reach as well.
They could just do a 4v4 DLC playlist and a Big Team DLC playlist. That’s all we need. Get rid of some of those weird playlists like SWAT and Snipers and just throw them into one playlist.
Not a dead horse issue here. 343 has no excuse / logic to not support the few that still believe in them.
They refuse to admit they are wrong and to simply fix it. This issue is no longer opinion based and needs fixed. Halo 4 is a good game but man they are making it hard to support them. Stealing is never okay, but especially when dealing with your (literal) direct supporters…
This should just be common sense. I paid for the maps, I’d like to play on the maps. I have every single piece of DLC for Halo 4. In fact, all of them. In Halo 3, it was MANDATORY on most playlists to actually play them. Can we please get some DLC playlists?
People really need to keep up with the news. There will be a DLC playlist coming in January for 2 weeks where you can play nothing but the DLC maps to your heart’s content.
In Halo 3, DLC was made a requirement because of the release of the Mythic disc with ODST, meaning more players had a chance of owning it (not to mention Halo 3 had a large population due to the lack of competition from other games). With Halo 4, there is avastly low population caused by numerous factors, where the majority remaining either don’t have or refuse to buy the DLC. These are the people you should be blaming instead of 343, as they fail to see the logic that if they stop complaining/refusing to buy the DLC because it doesn’t show, and instead buy it, then there is a much greater chance of actually playing on them in regular playlists (due to the increased number of DLC owners to match with).
A DLC playlist is good, but being able to play the DLC maps in ALL other playlists is better.
I suggested one DLC playlist that requires all of the DLC maps packs.
Have the lobby be able to vote on 3 game types in the lobby.
BTB/Heavies/Dominion/King of the Hill/etc…
Slayer/Team Slayer/CTF/etc…
Objective game types/Team Sniper/etc…
Not a perfect list or example I put up but the point is give us a choice and the option to use the maps we paid for online in public multi-player. We should not have to rely on coming to forums and playing customs.
Make the maps for each play type random.
Make the game modes that can be voted on random.
Heck, maybe throw in Lone Wolf randomly in the mix.
Also, you would have thought that they would have had the maps as part of the Christmas Deals going on to try to increase the population. Or maybe they will have deals towards the end of the year?
Also, a 2 week play list is not enough. So, we pay for something that we can only use a couple of weeks at a time when you feel like we should? Again, not talking about custom games because most of my friends stopped playing months ago.
Is anyone really surprised why no one wants to buy the map packs anymore?
That tweet makes me sad, I like 343 but now mi feel that I have wasted $60 on DLC I’ll never get to play, and halo4 the only halo game that I don’t have all the achievements in will remain incomplete forever then. Somebody needs to slap whoever is in charge of halo4, they could have at least put in a Christmas DLC playlist. Has anyone here even played a DLC map in halo4 yet? Not counting the single DLC playlist they make for a month after the DLC is released. After almost two years of playing halo4 I would like some new maps, expressively since I bought them already.
Apologies for the anger in my message, it’s just it is sad to have $60 wasted and the company in charge refuses to do a thing. It can’t be taut hard t make a playlist with all the and only the DLC maps in it
I am also very upset there is no dedicated DLC playlist. I purchased the Limited Edition back in the pre-order times so I could have access to all the maps, but it feels like a waste now.
I agree that the playlist setup for H3 was ideal. There were enough modes for the people who only purchased the game, yet it rewarded those who spent a premium on DLC by granting access to all playlists.
That’s exactly what a DLC premium should be. For those of us who spent more, we should have more access. It further encourages spending on DLC when people see an option they don’t have access to.
Personally, I have been a fan of Halo since the beginning, but unless 343 fixes these simple organizational issues I have no plans to spend anymore money on future Halo games or maps.

Well, the merging will kill a lot of people of the playlists, which is why I find that the DLC Playlist method is ultimately the best! I bought the DLC to PLAY on it, not to play it once of never!
