I would like to see a classic playlist put into H4. I mean something with things like no sprint, higher (like 120%) movement speed, descope (which may not be possible, but I would love to see), no AAs, even starts, no personal ordinances, and other things along those lines.
I feel like many members of the community would appreciate this. It would probably not bring tons of people back, but I think it could show how good H4 could have been and restore some faith in 343 going into the next halo game that they know what the community is looking for. Heck, use this playlist as a test for what the community may want.
As things like no sprint and descope are not possible in Halo 4, I highly, highly doubt we’ll be seeing something like this.

Lightning flag doesn’t have sprint .
Legendary Slayer was as classic of a playlist as Halo 4 would ever get, and it had the least amount of players in it (barely higher than Throwdown). It was a dead playlist.

I’m aware of that but we don’t have the option of removing sprint so my point still stands.
To be honest, I’d rather just play Halo 3.
If you add a classic playlist, it’s going to try to modify the game’s current mechanics as much as possible, and fail at it.
Halo Reach couldn’t add projectile firing back to the UNSC arsenal.
Halo Reach couldn’t bring back the Plasma Rifle’s stun or headshot modifier.
Halo 4 can’t remove flinch.
Halo 4 can’t bring back anything that Reach couldn’t.
Neither game has a significant amount of maps to play the settings on, unless you don’t mind looking at awful white textures 24/7.
Compare this to a game like Counter Strike: Global Offensive, where classic works because the mechanics are roughly the same from game to game. And by the way, I don’t care what anyone says, there is nothing wrong with a series having consistency.

343 does if the OP is asking to put classic into matchmaking( he didn’t really clarify) they can. It kinda doesn’t completely matter if the player base can disable it as long as they have the gametype in matchmaking , players can save it after they played it in matchmaking. Although it will still have flinch , but it will be closer to than anything they done in h4.
Anyway if they hadn’t done so it is because they really aren’t trying to create very close classic experience or they don’t see the value in it before or right now. I remember BSangel said it would be a good idea to add a classic gametype in the rotational playlist when a person asked on twitter.
