How AA's could work

Sprint is confirmed sorry I can’t say anything on this. But there is a way that AA’s could be fair. The armor abilities need to be creative to work. By that I mean if put on the hands of an idiot it’s useless, but in the hands of a creative player it’s crazy usefull.

I’m talking about things like hologram and gravity lift.

Hologram: If you don’t know how to use it well, you wont fool any one because they can tell if there’s a random guy walking in a straight line it’s fake(unless it’s AI because they’re stupid). A player who knows how to use it could block a sword lunge(better than meelee block because hologram needs to recharge), get an easy assassination, ext.

Grav lift: A dumb player will just use this as a quick boost up(if they are in place that allows it), or just get themselves stuck somewhere. Some one who actually knows how to use it could trap a player in a narrow hallway, stop a vehicle splatter(Better than armor lock ), bring vehicles to “player only” areas, ext.

If all players start with sprint and they have to find these even better. The result is most players will just be sprinting because they don’t spawn with AA’s. Also hologram is slightly harder to use so they would be easier to find. Grav lift are i little easier to use but harder to find. Even if players collect AA’s they will only be used in the right opportunity for it(unlike jet pack). There may still be some complaints but it’s still an improvement.

Now I want you to come up with ideas for AA’s like this. Remember it must be useless to an average player but super powerful to the creative player.

Sprint: gets cancelled if you’re shot.
Armour Lock: not in the game.
Everything Else: on-map pick-ups.

Super and powerfull to the Creative player? There we have the first idea of un-balancing. What about the average little guy? He shouldn’t just get destroyed.

I know it’s not perfect. It’s still a minor improvement.

Fixed.

I never said anything about armor lock. But it shouldn’t be in the game at all.

If you could improve chances for our ‘‘Little guy’’ maybe it could work, but super and powerfull aint going to work properly.

Indeed, good addition.

How armor abilities could work: Remove them.

I’m a “little guy” too. There are very few people who could use these in an overpowered manner. By creative I mean very creative. Most people are “little guys” that’s why I used the word “average player”.

It’s too late for that. Sprint is all ready confirmed.

Are we talking about AAs as a concept, or the abilities themselves? Because the abilities themselves don’t have to be AAs at all, they could be equipment, or a built in mechanic, sprint is most likely the latter.

Yeah I could see that, but you can activate and de-activate said abilites.

Bubble Shield. No Recharge, but you can pick it back up once.

Thruster Pack. No recharge, acts as a double/triple jump and may be used only 3-6 times.

ECT…

^This, except I wouldn’t mind evade, it’s really the same as sprint. In my opinion, the only thing that shouldn’t be map pickup is sprint and evade, and all spartans should be able to do this.

BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIAR IF YOU TELL ME THAT GENETICALLY ENHANCED SUPERSOLDIERS CAN’T RUN OR DODGE ROLL. I CAN DO THAT AND I’VE HAD 0 MILITARY TRAINING AND I’M MOST CERTAINLY NOT GENETICALLY ENHANCED.

Just take them out of Halo.

if hes not smart enough, yes, he should get destroyed.
Better people beating worse people is not a new concept here guys.

But yea, Annoying has it right.
Sprint gets shut off if player is shot
no al
everything else is pick ups.

Armor abilities need to go. Sprint is okay but it would be nice to either see a longer cooldown on sprint with a faster burst for about 2-3 seconds, or just a slower sprint overall. Armor abilities added a whole new realm to halo that just isn’t needed.

they are in the game, nothing you can do about it.

> they are in the game, nothing you can do about it.

They’re in Reach and there is definitely something we can do about it. Which is let 343i know that they need to go.
