How a simple challenge like 10 kills with a skewer can become one of the most painful and time consuming things to do

I have a challenge to get ten skewer kills and while on paper that seems alright in reality 343 are going to make that process an absolute nightmare taking hours to complete. Here’s what happened to me.

I decided to go with btb social as that is generally the best playlist to go with due to skockets. Due to the busted odds of playlists however I never find a single game without risking a ban meaning I’m forced into fiesta. From there I proceeded to play 5 full rounds and NEVER got a skewer a single time! Not even from enemies! Then you have to factor in limited ammo, the overall difficulty of the weapon, weapon kill challenges not tracking correctly and you’re in for one of the most horrible experiences you can have playing Infinite.

Just for clarification this is coming from someone who has gotten every weekly ultimate since launch (even the emblems) so trust me when I say this is a unnecessary nightmare. Why can’t we select what mode we want to play? Why have weighted odds with playlists? Such a simple challenge has no right to be so miserable.

I think I would have used a swap on that one, like I do with the plasma rifle gun thing

Team snipers has regular skewers in rotation, should get 20 in a game or two games at the most :slightly_smiling_face:

They really ought to change a lot of these get x kills with y challenges. I hate most of them. At least combine the weapon tier types for them.

10 skewer kills is a lot for a challenge, don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 3 specific weapon kills except for the basic guns. I usually always just have get 1 bulldog/heatwave/non basic starting weapon kill. I do remember a get 3 sniper kills challenge though, but haven’t seen 10.

I’ve gotten ten kill challenges for the gravity hammer, pulse carbine and heatwave as well. They aren’t as common as the lower tier ones though.

Yeah, 10 kills with a rare, low ammo weapon is a definite swap for me. 10 Skewer, 10 Hydra, no way will I keep those.

If you’re in Fiesta, looking for a specific weapon for a challenge, go suicide like your life depended on it. If that’s the game 343 wants me to play, so be it.
