How 343 can make H3A great!

In 2017 we will most likely get Halo 3 Anniversary. If so, there are some things that I would like to see in H3A.
Graphics:

  • I believe that the art style in the original Halo 3 is great. However, I would like to see updated textures and increased polygon count. (by updated textures mean unpixelized, no real changes to the textures, same with polygons) - Possibly add remastered cutscenes such as the ones in H2A, as long as they are toggleable.Gameplay:

  • Field of view increased- The FOV in Halo 3 feels VERY low and as such makes the game feel much slower than it actually is. - Hit markers added- It may just be me, but the hot detection feels off and sometimes I don’t know if I hit someone. - MAYBE: The seat swapping mechanic seen in Halo 5. This addition is small, but it could make the game even more interesting.Customization:

  • More colors - New emblems - On the topic of emblems, some present in H3 may not be usable for legal concerns (7th Column and Marathon, to be exact) so replace them with another one color emblem and the reclaimer symbol. - Playable elites (can be enabled and disabled for balancing purposes)Extra Features:

  • 4K 60fps - SPLITSCREEN (also in 60 fps, regular Xbox One in 30) - Larger lobbiesOverall, I may be asking for too much, but these are my feelings for if 343 or whoever is making H3A.

I would want it backwards compatible with XB360 and ported to PC but that wont happen => no dollars in it for MS…
Also an x-ray of MS’s heart revealed a dried prune.

Firefight from Halo 3 ODST with new graphics.

sounds not bad… but no to hit markers… you can see if you hit an enemy by his shield… and i think it’s way more interesting if you can’t always be sure. also you shouldn’t know if a hail mary grenade hit something or not.

I highly doubt that we’ll get a Halo 3 Anniversary. Halo 3 still looks pretty good and I’m fairly certain that MCC was created with the intention that if they included Halo 1-4 that they wouldn’t have to make any more anniversary editions. All H3A would do is split the player population. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see it happen, realistically I don’t think it’s in the cards though…

I hate to say that I agree with you.

The population crisis of MCC is the very reason to release a Halo 3A. (or a faithful Halo 3 HD port)

Halo 3 is probably the most played game on the MCC, but so many people left after the launch, unacceptable months of “fixes” and the actual end product itself that the population size that play the MCC current probably doesn’t represent the actual number of players who would play a Halo 3A. It probably doesn’t represent the number of people who would play Halo CE and H2 if they were to be re-released either. What we have currently are the people who either came in late, or are a small number of people who stuck through all the muk 343i dumped on us.

Maybe a Halo 3A would give Halo 3 players another reason to jump back on Halo. Without H3 being voted all the time, more players would jump back on MCC because they can finally play more Halo CE, H2C and H2A. Or maybe it would give MS more motivation to release those games separately. The idea isn’t to split the 2,000 (concurrent players) playing MCC, but to give the classic Halo fans who currently aren’t playing Halo, a reason to come back and play Halo.

Just re-release Halo 3 on Xbox One = sorted. I wouldn’t want anything to change tbh

And that is exactly why I want H3A. It’s a win-win, except for less resources for Halo 6. However, it can still be outsourced to say, Certain Affinity.

What about H3 Odst? ;o

FOV slider would be cool.

I want Halo 6 to be released in 2019 at the earliest after Halo 5 turned out.

2019 or 2020.

Fix negative glitches, and release it on Xbox play anywhere. Bring it to PC.
