I purchased Reach opening night and for a year and a half it sat collecting dust. It’s not that I hated the game or anything I just like Halo 3 better. Last November 343i re-released Halo: CE and for the first time in a year and a half I got and played Reach’s multiplayer. Without 343i, the title update, and Anniversary I wouldn’t be playing Halo: Reach. Now I play both Anniversary and Reach nearly everyday. I have the utmost faith in 343i and their handling of the Halo IP. Also I’d like to thank 343i for re-releasing one of my favorite games of all time. — end random post.
I’m with you, i think if it weren’t for 343, Halo Reach would be considered the worst Halo game by probably 90% of the community. They did an excelant job with CEA, and I beleave they will do as good of a job, if not a better job, than Bungie who invented the franchise.
Me i thought halo anniversary would have its own multiplayer but i was surprised when they made it connect with reach’s server. Anyway 343i did a good job with the anniversary playlists and maps. Most of the stuff is the same even the weapons feel like they’re from halo 1.
I’m getting CEA within 5-10 days. I’ve spent many years with H3 and only encountered sorrow. Hate for Reach was popular and I merely blended in. Now my hatred for what I considered abomination has died down and I am willing to give it another blessed chance.
With CEA, I can finally suit my cqc style and forge a better Firefight.
With Reach, which I may obtain before summer, I can discover things in campaign that no one would even bother doing.
There’s no doubt the 343 maps are better than the Bungie maps on Reach. I too think 343 will surpass Bungie.
343 is… ok.
I’m still annoyed with the removal of betrayals/team killing in Zombies/Living Dead.
But I like that the pistol is useful now, but I prefer Bungie’s maps over 343’s, but then again, 343 only re-leased a re-hash of old Bungie maps.
Maybe if they release a brand new map pack with all new maps I could give a better opinion on 343.
If I must, 343 has not impressed me yet, considering all they’ve done is make new forge maps, added a longer Big Team Slayer, and update some rules and re-release an exact game with polished graphics.
Their true worth will be revealed when they release Halo 4, a game they’ll make from scratch, and not something Bungie already did

This change was done to stop the betrayal bug from occurring.
