Have a look at approx. 1.45 in the latest IGN video “The Magic Behind Halo 4”.
What exactly are those objects or debris spinning in place defying gravity?
If they are debris why are the hovering and spinning like they’re in a tractor beam or something? If they’re not debris their shape outline is confusing at best…
Thoughts?
> Rocks.
But why are they defying gravity and spinning predictably? Resources gathering to repair the ship?
Requiem is a Forerunner Shield World. The Forerunners have extensive anti-gravity technology.
Need I say more?
I’ve also been wondering this, they don’t appear to fall at all, like you would normally expect rocks to, instead they spin in place. They could be Forerunner structures that float, but they look natural. There’s also the possibility of them being some type of new vehicle, but I honestly think that that is the least likely to be true because of the way they spin and are oddly shaped.
They could be in some sort of tractor beam, it would make sense as almost every piece of Forerunner tech we have is on Infinity.

Yes
Nothing else in the video sequence is affected by that anti-gravity thus why just the rocks?
I’ve a feeling it’s part of the mission or ship repair.
