Can someone explain how to kill with assault rifle? i can’t kill anybody. It requires huge amount of bullets. But I die very often from AR. Please help, how to use it correctly.
Spray in the general direction of something you want dead. It’s about the least interesting gun in the game so I’m not sure what kind of tips you want.
Really though, the AR exists just to force me to press Y every spawn.

I have found the AR slightly better then in other games, not sure if that is due to the weapon having a higher damage output or my accuracy improving, maybe a combination of both. But the range does seem to be quite short, so make sure that you are close to your enemy and constantly strafe so your opponent can’t predict where you will move.

Not really. The Storm Rifle and Suppressor are way more powerful Autos. It’s really the Weakest out of the 3.
If the magazine is emptying too quickly your spread is too high. There are 4 things you can do to reduce it:
- Get closer
- Crouch (Seriously, go shoot a wall crouched and then uncrouched and look at the difference in accuracy)
- Zoom in
- Use burst fire instead of holding down.
You should be able to kill with 1/3 - 1/2 a mag.

I think I could say the same about the Magnum. I’m not a fan of it being just as maybe even more powerful, than a rifle.

Are you serious? It’s too easy (imo) for me to kill someone with the AR! When someone have the shield down it’s superfast and easy to kill. I remember in other halo games that the armor can resist a little bit before dying. In H5 if you have zero shields you’re dead with the AR in 0,001 seconds.

Hmm not sure what you mean. I think the AR is probable the deadliest AR of all the halos. I seem to actually use it now at close range if i have it.

I think the Halo 4 AR is a smidge better.
for me its nearly impossible to kill someone with AR. I play well in Battlefield, but in HALO its very difficult to kill someone.

Pretty much this. It also helps if you get the first shot.
Also, don’t run straight forward at someone. I had this done to me and I ended up getting a perfect kill with the pistol.
It’s best to use the AR only at close range and keep the medium-long range stuff for the Battle Rifle and/or DMR. Assault Rifle is great in enclosed, indoor spaces, but not when aiming at someone far away.
