I have fun with infinite and that is truly all i need.
Sure i would love better progression, customization, more weapon variety and would kill for playable Sangheili, it isn’t what makes or breaks a game for me.
Having fun is though.

I can agree with that sure. I just wish people have it a bit more time before treating this like an irreversible mistake. I have faith they can appeal to the ones that are upset about progression
Infinite doesn’t have nor should be afforded that time.
Glad a good portion of us are. The future looks good for us halo fans!
Sorry you feel that way.
They’ve had eight years of gaming and their own history to learn. Quite frankly, they should know better by now.
Running a company is not as easy as it seems, nor is pleasing everyone. I know there’s some easy improvements they can make to please some people, but companies aren’t run that way. Everyone/higher ups need to be convinced that it’s not going to hurt them financially before they pull the trigger on something. Not trying to make a bunch of excuses (though I know I am…), but as a project manager for software implementations I know it can be a huge challenge.
Screw Capitalism.
Anyway I appreciate that you’re trying to be positive but please let the community voice its anger. They have a right to, and being told that our anger is misplaced or that we should give it time, for yet another game in a row, just won’t do.
I completely agree that Infinite is fun. Feels like 343 took what they made for Halo 5’s MP and refined it, which is what I was hoping for. This isn’t gonna replace the classic Halo experience, so I don’t see myself no longer playing MCC, but I think this is a good game. I’m pretty disappointed with the customization system as it currently stands. I was hoping for something more in-depth and great individual customization when 343 kept saying “if you liked Reach’s customization you’ll be pleased with what we have in store.” This does not really seem to be that if you ask me. Hopefully over the coming months 343 will change and improve the system and give us that massive customization we all wanted. But the most important part, the actual gameplay, is very solid and for me that’s going to keep me regularly playing this game for some time.
That’s where I am at too. There’s dozens of us!
You prove my point a little bit with your approach to capitalism. A US based company is not going to be able to appeal to people that aren’t financially motivated. As a matter of fact, I don’t think many software companies (besides indie developers that need to prove themselves) would be completely selfless. It’s human nature, at least to an extent. I would argue that your stance is a selfish one as well, wanting them to appeal to you vs. people like myself.
Not trying to make you feel bad or anything either. Just trying to point out that any decision a person or company makes is more challenging then it may initially appear.
I marched in protests last year and have spent 29 years in the lower class / low income. You call me selfish for wanting things all previous games have provided.
Hush now. There is no further debate.
If you pay nothing and grind the whole pass, you’ll have a decked out Mk VII armor core, but that’s it. You’ll also get to grind the samurai armor core during the free events though tbf.
You missed my statement and grabbed onto just one word. Please try to read the whole thing and understand. We’re all selfish to an extent. Not meant to be a jab, just something to recognize/be aware of.
Yeah, the game is fun. And this might sound crazy, but the game could be MORE fun, if 343 fixed up a few things.
Not crazy at all. Very much agree. Future looks bright!
This is my reason for infinite yeah I get how the stuff with the pass and the store need sorting but it’s a side thing and yet it’s being treated like it’s affecting gameplay which it doesn’t
For me I love how infinite plays how it looks how it feels yet I see post after post after post bashing something that is getting fixed behind the scenes I’m fine with some criticism if it’s not right but to bash it in when you made your point in like 1 or 2 posts it feels like it’s a more personal issue most of the time.
And I rarely see a positive post like why so much negativity on something we basically agreed was wrong and heard from the source a fix is coming down the line like why still bash it if a fix is coming?
Hello kind sir. Welcome to the Halo forums! This is practically a warzone regardless of any opinion you can have lol.
