I represent a local effort to establish an annual gaming tournament hosted by the company I work for in North Eastern Utah. We are a rural telecommunications company, so the people we serve are mostly farmers, and oil field workers. We have a large number of gamers in our area, and we have felt that there is a need to bring our gaming community together, especially during the economic downturn our area is currently going through. Currently the closest location for our gamers to do anything like this is in Salt Lake City which is three hours away.
We are looking to provide 32 Xbox stations with Halo. This way we would have eight teams playing at a time. There is a great interest in our community for this, and we are excited to develop this into a regular community event.
We need help though. There appears to be some fundamental changes with Halo 5 in regards to hosting our own servers. Are there any resources that we could possibly tap into? A sponsorship/partnership would be wonderful where we could promote the game and console in the best light possible in exchange for some of your professionals’ insight into how to make this a great success.
Please let me know what we need to do to enlist help in this community activity effort.
