Host synchronization/lag compensation is awfu

I’m beginning to collect a series of videos on the BS moments of Halo 4, I guess, and I’ve got a decent amount even though I’ve played very little.

I’m assuming that certain weapons like the Scattershot, etc., don’t just randomly deal zero damage, so there’s a problem when things like my last match occur:

I ran up to a person, shot them with my Scattershot; the reticule was red, but she moved to the side leaving only about half the rounds to connect. She had 1/10th of her shield after this. I move in even closer in between the shots and fire a second time, reticule still red and according to theater not a single part of the Scattershot blast missed, yet she only went down to no shield. She then threw a grenade and I died because I was reloading since, well, crap, I thought that’d kill anyone who didn’t have an Overshield. I recorded the video from both mine, and the opponent’s perspective, and the only reason I can think this person didn’t die from a literally point blank Scattershot blast is either poor host synchronization, or the weapon randomly deals very little damage, both of which are bad and should be fixed (I mean, ordnance weapons should always work; these aren’t hammers from Super Smash Bros. Melee, for goodness’ sake).

Getting Revenges and Kills from the Grave with melees or hitscan weaponry like the DMR shouldn’t be happening, either, and these happen all the freaking time.

There’s something wrong with this game’s netcode. Now, I don’t know if its the fact that I constantly seem to be paired up against people from Europe, but that shouldn’t be happening either. Please, 343, work on the networking infrastructure because there’s something severely wrong here.

I have some videos I can show, but how exactly do I show them? It seems like my file share isn’t working right or something, but if there’s a way to take the video file off my 360’s hard drive and convert it to upload to Youtube, I’m willing to do that too (though I don’t know if that’s a possibility or not).
