This thread is simple. Change the names of the -Yoink- things like “Spartan Points”, “Spartan Ops”, anything that relates to COD will be labeled as, and hyped, as gay. So please, talk to some of the writers with some sort of creative talent and change the names.
Because this is totally a big deal.

They’re place-fillers. So are the map names for Wraparound and Warhouse. They will be changed.
I agree with this. They sound like great additions but the names are very uncreative.

It obviously is. Seriously, did no one stop and think that it sounds a little like CoD though?
How about “assets” for the currency and “ONI Assignments” for the gamemode?

I would agree, it’s just too close to CoD. I know it’s not going to play like CoD, but still, let them name it Project: Spartan or something like that.

They could come up with something more original. And I don’t see what’s wrong with Credits if they’re going to reuse that crappy system.
They are place holders and will certainly be changed! The game isn’t even close to going “Gold” yet!

I honestly think people are letting this COD influence blind them. It’s not dissimilar to the blind hatred many people have toward MLG. So some ideas were taken from COD, I don’t see a problem so long as the game is still Halo.

Sorry, I tried to feign outrage, but it’s not worth the effort.
I can see it now. All the COD fanboys calling out Halo for copying all of their nice things. It used to be that way with Halo but not anymore…
Spartan Credits? Dollars? No?
I think Spartan Points should have a more futuristic military currency type name.
