Let me start off by saying I love Halo 5 havent had a single issue perfect connection since launch…
But something has been VERY wrong today every game I get into there is unplayable amounts of lag I just played a Warzone match where my team lost 1000 to under 200 the enemy was teleporting as well as my team…
I also just played a match where I joined in progress got the respawn in 10 seconds screen as normal…Only every second it counted down lagged…it took 4 minutes for the game to count to 10…Then the teleporting started AGAIN…
I don’t know WTF is going on this cannot be my connection. I’ve never had an issue with Halo 5 and matches are fine on CoD and Battlefront?
Anyone else having a similar experience out of nowhere?

I’ve experienced quite a bit more lag than I feel like I should. I can run games like Battlefield Hardline, etc. with pretty much no lag majority of the time. But Halo 5 has been very inconsistent. And we have “upgraded” internet with 40mbs…granted I’m on wireless 2 floors from the router. But I still have 3 bars…and all other games work fine. Never understood why Halo is always affected worse it seems. Must just be the tighter gameplay or something.
I have the same exact issue. I lag every game but its only Halo 5. There is a support thread here with over 552 responses who share our issue. 343 hasn’t replied yet either… It isn’t your fault if it is only Halo 5 lagging, its 343’s.
Use Speedtest.net. to check your internet and make sure it’s OK.
Basically everyone is instakilling me but even on a perfect kill it takes me forever. 3-4 shots I believe. If 343 can’t show us a ping time or meter like all the other dedicated server games there must be some BS going on. -Yoink- this game. It’s horrible. Something is just bogus. I’ve learned in many years of gaming that these jerks are not going to be honest or forthcoming about it either.
You may have just hit your “skill-based” matchmaking. Developers seem to love kicking your -Yoink- with laggier games when you do well.

BO3. It shows you the bar and the actual ping, when you pull up the menu while in-game. And yes, we you hide the ping, you either have something to hide about your server or matchmaking, otherwise there would be no reason to not include this info, especially in a shooter game.

Ok didn’t know bo3 had it (first cod game I haven’t bought, didn’t like the look of it). Also keep in mind that most people (not all) don’t know a whole lot about ping or care about it as long as they don’t lag (obviously this isn’t the case for everyone) a reason that it probably wasn’t included was that it probably wasn’t all that requested to be included ( that can be argued whether or not it was). As to whether or not they are hiding anything remains to be seen, if the feature to see ping and connection were strongly requested (again I don’t know if it was) and they didn’t include it then yes it would make sense to assume they had something to hide. However bashing the game in the manner he did is completely childish. Now if there was some footage of this “instakilling” that would be great , that way you could see the lag, or whatever else is factoring into the kills. Lastly if the problem was on 343i side with the dedicated servers then there would be more reports of connection problems, the only problem with using these forums is that they represent a small population of those who actually play the game. Personally for me anytime I’ve actually lagged in game the reason for it was on my end (my microwave when in use oddly enough actually interferes with my signal). So odds are its on his end, or this is the off chance it is on 343i side however that is unlikely
It has something to do with joining a party. I had running into walls lag and crippling lag in every part of the game until I stopped joining a party and just started calling my friend I play with. Ever since not an ounce of lag
