There is a Halo 4 picture that has falcons in it. Do you think they will bring back the horrent? I really hope so. Thoughts?
I don’t know what these Horrents are that you speak of. Hornets, on the other hand, have the possiblity to return.
This is the UNSC Marine Corps, not the Army. There should be Pelicans and Hornets. It would not make sense to have the Falcon because it is only used by the UNSC Army.
However, a lot of players (myself included) really enjoyed the Falcon so it is understandable that 343 would want to bring that back for gameplay reasons.
What, no Hawkes or Vultures?
They are pretty awesome!
Both, why not?
Lets all beat this kid senseless for not spelling hornet properly.
/Sarcasm
I would like to see both in Halo 4. Though I do think think the Hornet should be toned down.

Only one user has bothered to do that so far, so it’s hardly a big issue.
Screw both of them.
Flyable Sparrowhawks should be in Halo 4 (or 5, or 6).
To keep it balanced it should require two people to pilot - one to fly and man the autocannons on the “wings”, and another to be the gunner and control the SPARTAN Laser Cannon.
Hell, even if it required only one pilot, it would still only be on par with the Reach Banshee.

the Hawk was a prototype that was retired due to problems with their Ducted fans, they would jam, causing the vehicle to crash
also, it’s not a Spartan laser that’s mounted to the Hawk, its just a powerful laser
I’m a pretty big Horrenter… I horrent movies and games. Sometimes I horrent music…
On a series note… BOTH would be sick but if I had to choose I would go with Falcons due to the side turrets

Potentially fatal drawbacks on prototype equipment has never stopped the UNSC from fielding them in the past - besides, when it kicks as much -Yoink- as the Sparrowhawk does, the potential drawbacks are worth it.
And its been what, 40-60 years now from Halo Wars to Halo 4?
I’m sure a fan problem could’ve been worked out by now.
It would only make sense to bring back both. It would add a lot of variety to the game; imagine jumping into a Hornet, in the campaign, and crashing, whilst getting straight into a Falcon. It would be such a change. The same goes for every other game mode.

even so, the Hawk seems a little Overpowered no?
the auto cannons could do wonders against light vehicles and infantry, and the laser can make easy work of any vehicle
plus, more people seem to know what the Hornet is
and a simple nerf can be put in,
IMO the nerf should go like, The missiles can only fire if fully locked onto a vehicle (therefore, missiles can only be used for vehicles, not infantry)
trust me, miniguns are enough to take care of infantry
How about Falcons with variantians (much like the Warthog) so they could be like they were in campaign (pilot-controlled weapons) and then we could have Default (Reach MP Hornet), Attack MG (Reach Campaign w/machine gun turrets) Attack GL (Reach Campaing w/Grenade Launcher Turrets), Transport (Pilot has gun, all 5 seats inside open but no passenger controlled turrets–like Transport Warthog), and anything else you could dream up, like pilot–controlled machine guns and tracking missiles (basically a Hornet).
I think everybody will agree the Falcons are superior in terms of controlls and manueverability (not necessarily cannonically, but in-game). No one wants to be shooting at someone on the ground and automatically dive. Besides, Falcons are a bunch of fun to fly, what with the way momentum is handled. The only thing better would be a Battlefield helicopter
I would LOVE to fly VAMPIRES! from Hwars
and drive Wolves and Cobras that actually Lock-down and Volley

I think in falcons, you should be able to go into the item properties and edit:
Turret type: Grenade launcher/Standard turret.
Number of passengers: 0/1/2/3.
Pilot turret: On/Off.
And maybe a few more options. That’d be perfect in custom games, in my opinion. It’d replace a Pelican.
I prefer both, if possible!
Horrent-ble Spelling
Falcon troop transport while Hornet is a Offensive vehicle.
Even though both have variants.
