So, in the latest Canon Fodder, they talk about how the new Stinger helmet was developed in conjunction with the AV-49 Attack VTOL (which is the Hornet).
Should we consider that the Hornet is officially coming in Hog Wild? It will be nice to have a flying UNSC vehicle (Still wish we had the Falcon too).

EDIT: Yeah, whatever what the AV-49 is, it’s not coming in Hog Wild. Maybe for the big Firefight release, if a glass half full is your kind of thing…

You are right, AV-14 is the Hornet, but AV-22 should be the Sparrowhawk no?
I should have payed more attention to the numbers… AV-30 is the Kestrel, and the Vulture is AC-220.

Sounds like the newest variant of Hornet, to me, which does make sense since the armor is named “Stinger”. Sounds like June is going to be a great month with a brand new Forge Canvas and everything else coming!

The description mentioned it was being developed alongside the vehicle. Something tells me its something new. From the description of the helmet it sounds like its dual-role.

I don’t think the needle hog has flight capabilities…
I don’t think it will release in Hog Wild, but it mentioned it moved one of it’s “bigger things” to the Firefight update…
UNCS Air Vehicle confirmed? New map that’s not remixed? Race? The possibilities are endless!

AV = Air Vehicle.
Stinger helmet description says the interface can switch from Flight to Ground combat.
