before I come to my ‘‘issue’’, I want to make clear, that I don’t want to hear any guesses or thoughts, just straight facts, which settings (Horizontal & Vertical Sensitivity) the Halo 5 pro’s and famous/decent youtubers use.
Last time I played Halo 5 Arena was in january and since then there are a hell lot of new options and adjustments to make. I know that almost all of these are personal preferences. But, in the past days I really tried a few settings and came to the conclusion that 4-5 sensivitiy is the best for me. That said, the newly introduced feature of adjusting horizontal and vertical sensitivity separately confuses me and I really can’t seem to find what fits me best. Deadzone wise I use 0/0 and this feels the most fluid to me. My acceleration is 1, which mimics Halo 2A and Halo 4, both of which the most natural games, sensitivity-wise.
Basically the only option, which remains completely undecided is the sensivitiy regarding the horizontal and vertical sensivitiy. So I’m asking you guys if you know the settings the pro’s and/or decent youtubers/streamers use.

Edit: Of course I would also want to know which settings very high ranked players use.

Tbh none of the youtubers are really good so don’t do what they do. But pros usually play from 3-5 and have deadzones at 0%. Accel is different for everybody. I personally prefer to have my vertical and horizontal the same (2 and 2 with 2 accel feels great for me).

To bbe honest, I will try at least 5-10 macthes with each new setting people suggest. So I would say, I’ll start with what you suggested. That said, I do have a question though. To me, even 3 Horizontal & 3 vertical appear to be somewhat slow. Especially in close combat fights I seem to not perform well. So how do you compensate this? Strafe the heck out?

Yes Vetoed is insane (I watch him on twitch everday) but I would consider him more of a streamer than a youtuber. Just like how Kampy is a streamer not a youtuber. This is mainly directed at ispiteful and Pingy, those guys.

If you want to perform better in close quarters, I would suggest bumping it up to maybe 3. I feel slow as well at times in close quarters, but I spend more time at distance so it doesn’t matter that much to me.

Actually, I’m glad you mentioned Vetoed, because he is, besides mimicing H2A and Halo 4, the main reason I play on acceleration 1. He replied at youtube once, mentioning he plays on 7 sens (wow!) and 1 accelleration. Since his post was before the update in which you can separately adjust your sensivitiy, I do not have any ideas if he still uses default or a different horizontal & vertical sensitivity.

I can see his point on Pingy and Spiteful as they run teams of over-REQd kids. One on One/ 4v4 I think even most the Open Circuit players would run circles around those Warzone Youtubers

He asked about pro and also decent Youtubers.
Just saw the spoiler part - I wasn’t being aggressive, I just thought that you made a wildly incorrect claim. Whether you consider it or not, Vetoed has a Youtube channel. And Pingy regularly gets Unfrigs on Warzone, and has had Champion ranks in Arena. They’re clearly a lot more skilled than us mere mortals.
Why do you consider Pingy to not be very good?
Also, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I notice that you have a Champion badge. I had a look through your seasons, and could only find Onyx in FFA. So where did the Champion come from?

Yeah, I did a bit of reading on this a while back, and settled on 4 and 2. Apparently that’s what Lethul uses, and various other pros.
But from what I understand, it’s an individual choice and also depends on play style. I.e if you’re a rusher, then being able to turn quickly may help you. Whereas if you like to hang back and snipe, then a lower sensitivity setting may help.
I think that trial and error is probably the best way to go for most people. Try a high setting for a week, see how you play. Try a low setting for a week, see how you play. Try in between, see how you play. But the main thing is to play like it for a while, don’t give up after the first couple of games as you will suck at first. It takes time for the muscle memory to develop.

Why the attitude? If you mind me asking then I won’t push it. Just wondered what season you were Champion as I couldn’t find it? Or did you rank down afterwards? Just wondered as I had heard that the first few people to get to Onyx 1800 can get Champ, which is why people were saying in the FFA thread that it’s busier at the beginning of the month.
And why you consider all Youtubers to be bad players? Such as Proximitty? I think he’s been Champ in Slayer, that’s not easy to do.
