Hoping for a 2019 Release

I really hope this comes out next year the excitement is real. Classic Graphics, Halo Ring Setting and a more open world like the Halo CE demo from 1999. Sign me up.

It’d be great. But I think 2020 with Beta for 2019.

I think it will come in fall of 2019. When they teased Halo 4, it was 2011 and released the game fall 2012, When Halo 5 was teased (The multiplayer teaser in 2014), it was released in 2015. They seem to come around a year and a half or so after E3

If that’s the case I’d rather they push it back to 2021 assuming the next Xbox would be out by then.

I think it will be Fall 2019

Jesus Christ i really hope not. It’s been 3 years already and all they’ve shown us are deer, mountians, and rhinos. We’ve waited long enough for them to fix the travesty plot of halo5. 4q18 or 1q19 is when this game needs to arrive.

No way that’s happening unfortunately. If it did we would of been shown a lot more and gotten news on a release date and a beta. Let them take their time.

Maybe we will get it sooner than we all think? Ya never know, and crazier things have hapened.

I’m aiming for Fall 2019 along with a Beta before release.

We could get like Halo 5…they announced in spring then later that December there was a MP beta and the following fall was release. I am probably optimistic, but it is possible.

I’m thinking November 2019 release with a beta or “test flights” in Spring of 2019. Fall 2018 for the update to MCC.

Really hoping its not 2020. That would be an insane amount of time to wait. 2.5 years.

I’m thinking Fall 2020. They’ve just built a new engine for the game, and haven’t teased much other than art style and rough setting. They’d have to rush hard to get the game out by 2019, and I really don’t want them to rush it.

Hoping for 2019 as well, but Gears of War 5 is confirmed for 2019 and it would not be a smart move for MS to release main-series installments in their two flagship shooters at the same time.

It would be like how EA hurt themselves by releasing Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 at the same time.

I’m sure they are just not showing us a lot. They even stated before that they don’t want to show too much long before release. 2020 would be extremely late, with that much time the game would have virtually no excuses for any screw ups.

No I think 2020 a little far definitely fall 2019 with a beta at around spring 2019

More likely 2021 marking 20 years after original Halo.

I do think 2020 as well now. Microsoft did release GOW 3 and Halo CEA in 2011 and GOW Remastered and Halo 5 in 2015 though.

Could go either way really, But it’s either 2019 or 2020 release.

2019 lines up with other teaser/release schedules (roughly 1.5 years as stated) and it’s likely they’ve had all last year working on this game as well brining a 3 year dev cycle to a close. This would be a standard release. It’s also unlikely they’d tease a game then not release it til 2020 though it has been done before, it’s just not typical.

2020 lines up better with the release of the new Xbox Console potentially, which could be huge. It also avoids releasing Infinite at the same time as Gears 5 which could hurt both. It also gives credence to the wording where it seems they’ve been working on many other things and don’t have much to show yet for Infinite. Perhaps they need an extra year in the dev cycle (so 4 year cycle) to build the engine from the ground up, or maybe the tail end of 5 and MCC took more time than we thought.

There was a year of support for H5, so 2016 we can assume was taken up with that and possibly the bones and requirements of the new Slipspace engine. We might assume 2017 was taken up building the new engine from the ground up, while the MCC tackles the improvements there. Halfway through 2018 and we have an engine demo teaser trailer, which would line up with it being only 6 months into a standard 3 year development cycle. Depending how much of the team worked on H5 content while the new engine got built, 2016 might have been used for Slipstream as well.

It’s honestly completely 50/50 for me at this point. Don’t have enough info.
