The locust bringing its dome shield and high damage beam weapon making it a good support vehicle with the ability to protect a team and deal with heavy ground threats, where as the Grizzly is armed to the teeth and armored to match being one of those high value items for a vehicle drop.

Halo MP is all about starting out on the same foot as everyone else on the map. Giving people different stats per say totally changes that balance. I am not saying it is a bad thing but may not for MP. I would love to see it in campaign though have covey shields and maybe player 1 is chief but in coop your other players can be elites at some point if they could make it make sense in the story.

Yeah maybe the first idea needs some work, maybe something like this.
After X season they add none Spartan races, these have no movement or shield differences but do have hitbox differences.
the species.
Human: current standard
elite: easier to headshot from the front, slightly larger, to compensate harder to headshot from the back.
brute: slightly taller then humans but similar stats (highly unlikely even if we beg)
Jackals: come in all three of the current types including skermisher, they are smaller in size but much easier to headshot from the front and sides.
Even this the only two I can see are human’s and elites. And they can easily be balanced with eachother so that neither is an advantage at the start. hit box differences will also change up the sandbox abit, meaning you can’t just aim at head hight don a corridor and hope.
on the vehicles, both can easily be balanced think of them as power weapons something that is in the middle of the map that you want to fight over or destroy to deny the enemy access.
The locust would be the easiest to balance in this way, with its main weapon being a lower power scarab beam it could have something like a 2 second TTK and limited to 10 second bursts with 3 second cool downs. its main focus would be its dome shield. Though do to only having one main weapon and being a one man bottom enter crew it is easy to flank and board one plasma grenade and boom.
The grizzly is just something I have wanted in halo proper for a while, gameplay wise it could be done easily as a 2 crew tank. A driver/main gunner/Rocket gunner, and a top mounted MG gunner instead of a front mounted. This makes it more of a risk to use when fully up as you are a primary target. The main gun would likely deal less damage then the normal scorpion cannon but fire twice as fast, the top mounted MG gunner would just be another MG. The big thing would be its ground to air rockets. IT would be a jack of all trades. With its main balancing point being its slow and an easy target at that, being heavier its turret rotates slower and its max speed is half that of the scorpion.
