I personally hope they ditch the ability to spawn with weapons that are so incredibly effective at long ranges. With the current DMR clusterF*** some of my favorite maps like Avalanche and Sandtrap wouldn’t even be possible right now. Most games are just a giant DMR showdowns. I think that classes are ok right now, but i would like to see the mid range weapons toned down alot to be more ineffective at long ranges like the halo 3 BR. Or making weapons like the DMR much harder to obtain would work as well. The diversity that weapons created in games i feel has been lost. This is why Halo 3 is still my favorite personally.

I’d personally like to see them ditch the ordinance drops and put power weapons back in strategic places around the map or make the DMR a pick up. At least in big team. As it stands right now teams just sit at and around their bases. They have no incentive to move up and hold points on the map.
Big team has been one of my favorite playlists since I started playing, but now it’s just pop up, shoot off a couple of rounds, get down and recharge shields, and repeat. Even if a team wants to push it’s nearly impossible.
The gameplay is just boring. I don’t really enjoy sitting behind a rock for 5 minutes playing peek-a-boo with some guy half-way across the map. I can’t imagine he’s enjoying it either.
I would like that too. Right now there seem to always be a ridiculously high amount of power weapons on the map at all times. reminds me of forge maps i would make in middle school. “Ooooh i like this weapon i have to have it on the map, this one too, and this one!” next thing you know theres every power weapon possible on the map.
Although i would like to see the DMR removed completely, I have a feeling that is not something that is going to happen. I think your idea of making it a pick up with very limited ammo and somewhat scarce spawn locations (more so than power weapons however) would reintroduce more varied and diverse gameplay to help get away from the current play which is as you said, peekaboo DMR.
