HopeRanksAreJustAsGoodAsTheOnesInMccSlayer?

mmmaaannnnn is it hard to rank up in mcc slayer i love it. and so far the only way i see my self getting halo 5 is if the ranking system is similar. i would love halo 3 ranks shown on the mcc system for halo 5. bbuuuttt i doubt it. i personally think the ranking system in halo 5 is a joke. the way i see it is once you hit semi pro thats equivalent to halo 3 50 and pro is just hitting that 5 star general (just takes time) i lost interest in halo 5 after i hit semi pro in everything. why dont developers listen to us?

The halo 5 ranking system promotes team work, something that should be a priority when playing TEAM based modes. Anyone who thinks it should mostly depend on individual performance is obviously butt hurt they can’t rank up by beibg the MVP.
also your title is a joke

Id honestly prefer a little bonus for being MVP, but im glad they support team play like this.
Also if people dont like online team play they can just go to ranked rumble.

You rank up by wins…that’s exactly what halo 5 is just easier. And it was to many words for the title. Obv you knew what I said

MCC’s rank system is determined by wins/losses, so is Halo 5’s seen from the Beta. That means that you can go with a pro team and be AFK as they win for you and you get a free 50/semi-pro but it’s slower unless you’re on a major winning spree.

Halo 3’s ranking system is determined by win/loss, score, death, medals, overall stats. This shows your individual skill more precicely and it means that you can go down even if you win but that will require you to have been AFK/betrayed, killed yourself, not performed well enough.

If Halo 5 has a team/clan creator which can be ranked then a win/loss system would work better for the team/clans rank.
For individual rank the way they did it in Halo 3 works much better because you don’t go down after you’ve lost a game that you went 24/6 on with two teammates leaving, aka you lost because of others.

Well what if I can’t rank up because I get mached up with those who quit, betray or let the other team win and I get teamed with those the majority of the time. Do I deserve the rank I have then? Even pro players have a hard time ranking up and it’s not because of their own skill, it’s because of no communication between teammates or the skill of the players being within yours.

You can literally just get a set of friends who are OG 50’s and let them win for you as you sit and -Yoink!- off for a few games. You’ll reach that 50 without touching the controller.
It promotes teamwork, yes, but it doesn’t work when you play with random people which are teamed with you SIMPLY because of their win/loss rate.

What if I get teamed with the guy who got the free 50 and he brings us down? He doesn’t have “the skill” of a 50 yet he comes with us. He earned it fair and square.

A win/loss ranking system works better for premade teams. A performance based ranking system works better for individual rankings.
