I like halo a lot played it for so long and I like some of the things there doing with halo 4 but some things there pushing. Powers in halo reach were lame but to be fair bungie kinda didn’t try very hard to make it work. But I still think its to much for halo I mean out of everything jet packs half to be the worst it really brakes the flow of the map. But there trying to make halo better or whatever which is fine but we all no halo reach was indeed a fail of a halo game. This is what I don’t get the two halo games that didn’t include powers (that had online multiplayer) were so popular and still are just there a little out dated but they tried something new in reach and It didn’t work out so well they had low population the playlist weren’t up but really it’s just the fact that it wasn’t very popular yet there doing it again. why? Like really? But I guess they wanna try to do a better job with it then bungie did. Which is fine I guess it can’t be worse then reach that’s for sure. But if this game doesn’t go well because of powers and perks and whatever and they try it again I’m going to be royaly pist off. Do you guys agree? If not what do you think? Should they try again if it doesn’t work this time? If so why? If not why not? Let me no below. Ps no hissy fits plz. Give you’re opinion in a civil manner lol.
> But there trying to make halo better or whatever which is fine but we all no halo reach was indeed a fail of a halo game.
We do? Because from my knowledge it was quite succesful.
I am just going to roll with punches at this point. I am just going to look forward to enjoying Halo 4 even if some of the changes seem weird to me.
I’d really wish they will “spread out” the game type playlist’s. because some game types I hate to death, but have to play because peopled voted for it.Like in reach I enjoy Capture the flag, but it has Assault and the other game types in listed as Team Objective, they just need to list them out really…
I see where 343i are taking Halo. They’re making it so that Armor Abilities will be an integral part of the game.
And I support them in their endeavors to make Halo something different.

Yeah I know what you mean but I think they should just go back to where you can at the most veto not vote. Because people just vote the same crap over and over and over again it gets a little old even if you like What they voted for it starts to ruin it when they keep picking it. I play doubles with my friend one time and we played countdown like 15 times in a row no joke. I already don’t like that map. Yeah we won every game but I would like to play more then one map.

I know what you’re saying and I agree. But you can only change so much before it isn’t even the same game anymore just called the same thing. Making fresh changes is one thing messing with the core gameplay is another.

Speak for yourself, OP. I like Reach more than Halo 3, 2, and 1. Yeah, that’s right. I said it.
I am going to play devil’s advocate here Op. Halo has been around for 11 years now, any franchise has to grow and change lest it become boring, stale and ultimately stagnate. And in those 11 years Halo’s core gameplay has remained, largely, unchanged. Honestly, I don’t see the Halo franchise remaining competitive in the fps market without substantial change over the next few games.
I agree with you about AA’s having a bad effect on competitive play but, that is not because AA’s were a bad idea. It’s because some of them were implemented poorly. If they’d been implemented properly they could have had a very positive effect on Reach’s gameplay. As it stands, well… oh, well.
I’ve been playing Halo since the CE days, and while I’d love to see the game remain relatively unchanged I realize that is wishful thinking and would ultimately lead to the death of the franchise.

Sigh. Ok it doesn’t matter if you liked it I didn’t say nobody liked it it wasn’t as popular by far. Let me explain. Halo reach is losing and has been since it came out to three call of duty games (no I’m not saying it because it cod) that’s a lot seeing as how some of them are older then reach. Also one of those cod games being mw2 which was unable to keep up with halo 3s population but now stomps reach out. Ps I didn’t say reach was the worst game in the history of man kind. So calm down.

Well it’s starting to look like powers and perks will be halos death. And I understand change is good but in a controlled manner. Not all balls out out of nowhere. And halo was popular because of its core game play not because we were all secretly waiting to get attacked by a flying spartan with a rocket. Ps I never said I wasn’t buying it either as a matter of fact I already did, payed 100 dollars so I do support halo still.

I loved Halo Reach… lol.

It would be better, and more accurate, to say Halo:Reach was a less popular Halo game than a failure. From strictly sales figures (if I remember this right) Reach out sold Halo 3. The numbers I am remembering could be the day 1 sales numbers or even the first week or month.
While flawed, Reach is not an inherently bad game. It just seems so to you due how you perceive those flaws. I agree that getting rocketed by jetpacking spartans is obnoxious. And it goes to my earlier point that certain AA’s were implemented poorly.

I really don’t care how many it sold on the first damn day. How many actually played it after it came out. the pop is so very low for a game that saved Xbox from losing to play station. And yeah it sold good the first night but why? Because how great the previous games were. But how many people stuck with the game? not very many at all.
> But how many people stuck with the game?
…a lot of people.

50000 isn’t a lot so no.
