Since 343 has said no to dual-wielding, what about our alien brothers-in-arms, the Sangheili? From what I remember from one of their Ask343 streams, they quite haven’t fully said no on the idea of the Elites being playable again. Me being mostly an Elite main, I’m a bit worried that they’ll end up scrapping the idea and making it a just comprised of Spartans. Yes, i know that this game will have a 10-year life cycle of massive updates and whatnot, I’m just hoping that one of these updates will include our alien brethren returning back into our control again.

They have confirmed that they won’t be there at launch. I’m sure that they’ll be added at some point, but for now all we can do is hope and wait.
Were they added to 4? Nope.
Were they added to 5? Nope.
Will they be added to Infinite?
343i has never included Elites in multiplayer and does not intend to. They consider it too much of a headache to balance the size and shape of the Elites with Spartans, and would rather just omit than deal with the constant whining about disbalanced hitboxes.
At least when Elites aren’t in the game, people just moan about it once and move on. But when they are in the game? Halo 3’s forum in particular had thread after thread complaining that Elites shouldn’t be an option.
