Hoping for armour abilities in halo infinite rather than spartan abilities. One of the abilities i would like to see if we get it is to get that drone from halo wars 2 that hangs around the jack rabbit but the version i want is the one that spearbreaker team get which is a laser firing drone would be awesome to have it for the masterchief

Warzone? Maybe. For core play? Absolutely not.
Having an AI companion that has hit-or-miss accuracy would be way too random of a variable to be balanced in any regard. If it was dead accurate it would need to do very little damage to be remotely, and at that point why even introduce it?
Personally I really hated the equipment from H3. Bubble shields and regen killed the flow of combat, and power drain really nerfed vehicles. I would appreciate an equipable jetpack solely for the purpose of custom games options.

Well, Halo 4 had the auto-sentry ability.
Yes please! I loved the equipment from Halo 3. While armor abilities and Spartan abilities are specific to individual players, equipment affected everyone equally. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the franchise tried them out once (and technically again in ODST) and then scrapped them.
EDIT: I may have read the title wrong, but I thought the original title of this post was about equipment… sorry about that. Still, I would like to see equipment return.
i don’t really want either. id be happy with only sprint, clamber, thrust and slide
Well I would like something as far as inventory abilities instead of the advanced movment that was in H5. But there is a thin line between useless (flare) and too powerful (armor lock). Maybe we could adjust the abilities such as making sprint an ability that recharges over time while Armor lock has a limited amount of charge and then it is gone. But the thing is that they need to be an inventory item or something that makes them excludes all other abilities. If you have clamber then you cannot sprint, if you have a jetpack then you do not have hologram.

True but i want the unsc to have its own and this would be an awesome addition
I prefer spartan over armour for the sole reason everybody has it so it’s at least balanced in that sense.
Honestly I liked the Reach system, it was my favorite. And the abilities. I’d hope if they went with an armor ability system that they would come up with some cool new ones, but ultimately all I’d really like to see come back is the way you all start with the AR and Magnum, but you can all select different abilities with limited charge and a set recharge rate and more importanty, change on death if the previous one wasn’t working out well strategically. I also would prefer sprint be there but as an ability that you’re sacrificing others to have in a given life. I liked armor lock, I didn’t see it as overpowered. I like anything that shakes up the “typical” flow of combat, like jet pack, evade, armor lock, etc. I doubt they’d ever bring back armor lock in any Halo in my liftetime thanks to the enormous amount of -Yoinking!- about it, but that’s ok. Jet pack and sprint were always my favorites. That system made for very dynamic gameplay, no two encounters were ever the same.
