Regardless of whether a team is winning or losing (losing is more of an issue obviously), I am not a fan of JIP since you don’t get to experience the match in its entirety. Thus, you cannot attempt personal goals. This is especially true for Firefight. JIP is definitely a great feature to have, but I believe there should be an option available to players that can be toggled on/off.
I’m so torn on whether I like it or not. I’ve played a lot of matches, and sometimes you’re team sucks and just leaves for whatever reason. I honestly hate having to stake it out alone, so JIP isn’t the worst thing for me.
But it’s so stupid to join a match with ten seconds left, regardless of if you win it or not.

Yeah definitely. It’s a welcome feature since it sucks when your team leaves. Plenty of players don’t care when they join a match which is a great benefit to team games.

It should be a toggle you can choose from and not be forced. If it’s on by default then jip will help fill lobbies while letting those who dislike it have the ability to turn it off.
I am divided on whether I like it or not. I have joined matches in Halo 5 that ended as soon as I joined. Other time I have joined and helped that team to victory.

Yep, exactly. I would personally keep it off because I don’t like joining matches in progress. I edited my first post to be a bit more clear in what I meant.
I am not familiar with this term, can anyone give me a brief in depth explanation?

“Join InGame Progress” - or something like that.

Is it an option to avoid entering or not in games that have already started?

I believe it is already a preset option. Meaning, we can’t turn it off. The original poster was suggesting that we should have an option to turn it off or on.
I’m ok with doing it for custom games but matchmaking I’ve encountered glitches that I really don’t like it.
I think we should have jip with incentives, but it should be toggle on off. If you join a losing game in progress and lose you don’t get penalised with a loss. If you join a losing game in progress and turn it around you get the win. Both Titanfall and CoD Warzone use jip in that manner and it works well.
