Hope Halo 5 don't get multiplayer issues like MCC

I have MCC and the multiplayer is sometimes annoying, having to wait a few minutes and even having to restart the xbox, or the system restarting the search when the match is already found. I really hope they worked more on this with Halo 5.

The beta servers worked fine, there shouldn’t be an issue with servers

I can almost guarantee this won’t happen in Halo 5. The launch of Halo 4 was just fine so they don’t have an awful track record. MCC was created by multiple studios and thrown together so yeah, there were some major issues. I’m not defending 343 in that regard but Halo 5 seems to be developed completely in-house so it should be fine. Not to mention there’s no way they would risk another launch like MCC with the already pissed community.

I think if Halo 5 has server issues it’ll be short term stuff. MCC problems lasted a month, or longer for some, because it had servers for 5 different game engines, 100 maps and tons of game modes. H5 should be more manageable.

These days though you can’t really tell, it comes down to the population numbers on launch week and a bit of luck on whether 343i’s dedicated servers can handle it

I think it will work pretty good. Though I am NOT defending 343i in any way, the reason MCC had (and still has) issues is because it is 4 different games and 4 different coding’s all put together in one, and 343i was not working on the game for a long time. Although it was basically only a porting and remastering job by 343i and a few 3rd party devs, it was thrown together quickly. Halo 5, on the other hand, has been prepared and worked on for years. It had a beta, and it had a lot of time to be improved upon. Now, whether or not the multiplayer and servers will be totally functional at launch, I’m not 100% certain. But I don’t really expect any major issues in the game’s campaign or multiplayer once launch day comes around.

Halo 4 had server problems till the first DLC dropped in December, for me anyway. SR ranks getting reset was a complaint I saw on the forums a few times, hopefully Halo 5 fares better.

Interesting, I didn’t have any problems I can remember. I was also 14 so I can’t quite remember.

Those seem pretty minor compared to what the MCC was going through.

SMH…

Were any of you older than a Teenager when Halo 4 was released? Seems a lot of the Population of these Forums are People who were/are Younger. Games never used to really come out this way until around 2005 or so. When they realized they could release games faster and Patch Later. Besides, the MCC had a Cluster F of Coding and UI they had to deal with to unify it all into one package. Of course there’s going to be issues. Halo 5 has been Developed by 343 with Blur helping for Cutscenes, That’s it. It’s not 4 different Companies working on one Product and having it put together later on before release.

Well, considering Halo 5 is only running one game engine and not six, it most likely won’t have huge server issues. But small glitches and bugs are unavoidable, and the game can’t be perfect. Why? We’re human, that’s why.

Where are you people hearing that Blur is doing cutscenes? It’s all in engine assets and made by 343. Now, if there are CG cutscenes then maybe it’s Blur. It’s either Axis Studios or Blur.

Halo 5 will almost certainly launch fine. There might be a few hiccups, but nothing they won’t be prepared for. Especially after MCC. With H4 and and H5B in mind, I feel assured.

I really hope so too. MCC had a lot of problems, and still does.

After The Dissapointment With MCC, They Should Not Make The Same Mistake In H5, But Since MCC 343i Released A H5 Beta That Ran Kinda Smoothly, Im Sure H5 Wont Be Messed up As MCC, But All Games Come Out With Lil hiccups But Im Sure It Wont Be As Bad As MCC.
