Hope discovered

As a long time Halo fan I have taken the time and watched the “Discover Hope” trailer numerous times across several channels and taken time to think about it. Many people have been gushing over it, saying so many things that by the end of the video you forgot what they said at the beginning. So let me say it simply: Thank you.

Thank you, not just for the graphics – though they look amazing! Thank you, not just for going back to a ring – though I can’t wait to see what you have in store there. Thank you, not just for keeping Marty O’Donnell’s music alive – though his musical fingerprints are a part of Halo. Thank you for staying with it. Thank you for not giving up and putting up with… everything. I know it’s tough. I know some fans can be difficult and down right obnoxious. Thank you. I know that we (including myself) can be demanding and, honestly, tyrannical at times. Thank you. We will pick through every detail and critique every little thing, and talk about it to whoever will listen (or read). Thank you. Through the sleepless nights and caffeine filled, zombie-days… Thank you. The gaming industry, as of late, has been plagued with anti-consumer, greedy self interests, that have angered and outraged the community. Even though I’m not fond of Req Packs, thank you for not being the other guys.

But mostly thank you for caring as much as we care. I know it won’t be perfect in everyone’s eyes, but when Halo Infinite ships I will have two things to say: 1) Thank you, and 2) “I need a weapon.”
