Hope armor coating is kept professional

Some things are nice like and fun like flaming helmet or pizza and mister chief gun skins. But I hope they don’t get carried away with the armor coatings. I hope they keep it mostly professional and not make armor so shiny and full of lights like Destiny does. Just not like they are in a rave party or somethin…

Because im sure they plan on doing this for as they say, 10 years

Hey, let’s hope that emotes don’t appear.

I already have to deal with Master Chief dancing like a crab (shivers), I would rather not see that in the actual game.

I just hope the rich and stupid buy many skins. This means Halo Infinite will get many game updates, including game maps and modes, that I will not spend one cent on. Thank you millennials.

I agree with your opinion.
I can accept some funny armor coatings from time to time (like maybe an easter armor coatings for easter or other) but having more grounded armor coatings is for the best for the aesthetic of the Spartan and the UNSC.
Also IMO, it’s more visually pleasing to have skins that make sense with the lore and aesthetic of a franchise than funny looking skins.

That’s pretty much the reason we’re in the position we’re in now.
Quite a while ago I saw some data suggesting, I think it was roughly around 15% of an active community’s playerbase which stood for 95% of the game’s MTX income, and, if the publishers continue to double down on these monetary practices and breaking revenue records year after year, that says something about the 15% controlling the future path of monetisation for games for 100% of the gamers.

GTA5 is quite a monetary success, yet was it Rockstar which said the gamers are underpaying for GTA5.

Some EA person went on camera saying they could charge for reloads in late games because gamers would be into the moment and not really bother that much if they needed the reload then and there. Heat of the moment makes sometime irrational calls.

The culling? Well a BR game had, maybe still does, match tokens you had to pay for in one way or another.
You got free ones every day, and one for every win.
But if you ran out and wanted to continue you’d have to pay. That’s also after paying for the game itself.

I totally agree!

I dont mind a few goofy skins, but it should be kept to a minimum

Yeh hope they keep with the theme of the game instead of random nonsense since found things like pizza/chips skins to be stupid and hurts the immersion of the game.

Ah yeah,
Considering i343’s handling of coats, making it so that we can’t customize the colors of the coats, they’re signaling their focus on the cosmetics is money.
One thing I feel is common in games with skins, are season themed skins.
Christmas, halloween, valentines, easter and so forth.

Going with their first focus and handling of these skins, I’m fairly certain we’ll at some point see “goofy” skins, akin to the pizza and fries skins we saw in Halo 5.
One reason being that they can, with lesser worries, utilise FOMO for such skins.
“But these are special skins, tied to the current season we’re in. It’d be silly of us to sell this halloween skin on christmas”.
The skins are available for as long as the season is.
It makes “sense”, so how are you going to argue that?
I don’t like it one bit.

I learned my lesson with the halo 5 req packs! Ridiculous.

I never once bought a REQ pack, the game honestly gives you enough currency to just buy them without spending a cent

Totally agree. I mean even if they wanted to get slightly fun with it, there’s tons of stuff that can be done in-universe that fit the vibe. I hadn’t played a cod since bo2, but when I bought mw last year, I was and have been pleasantly surprised with how the skins have been, for the most part, fitting with the overall style. Thankfully I didn’t buy Cold War since seeing how they’ve gotten crazy with their skins already. Sorry for the rambling, but pls no Rambo in infinite

I’d be happy with a variety of camo coatings like Multicam, Digital, MARPAT, etc.

You and me both. I don’t think they’ll keep the skins / armour coatings professional, nor do I think they’ll keep them to lore. After the coatings announcement and the removal of our option to colour them I smell a rat, and a big one too. Look at Gears 5, I bet we’re in for something similar. Hope I’m wrong and time will tell.

Crossovers like Kat and Emile in Gears 5, Halloween, Xmas, movie tie ins like Terminator in Gears, we even have Master Chief in Fortfight, are we getting Peely in Halo Infinte ? Peely is probably a stretch, but at this point nothing is off the table imo. It’s worrying too, because players like these things. I think 343i will go all in.

Outrageous skins, crossovers that totally kill the immersion, and an aggressive and egregious monetisation of the best coatings. I really hope I’m wrong on this. I know some will say Halo won’t go there, just look at other studios, we even have a pink unicorn skin in DOOM, amongst other things that don’t fit imo.

I for one will be absolutely livid if there is no pizza skin AR in Infinite.

I say that maybe if they go to make gestures because it is almost logical that they will put it to raise money, and if a lot of community doesn’t like it they can put a button to deactivate them as in tmcc

YOOO i seen that before, it was so funny

I wouldn’t mind goofy skins as long as we can toggle viewing them on and off.

Having presets that we can choose wold be cool as well.
