Full disclaimer I love the halo franchise with a passion and I care greatly where it goes, which is why I’m posting this. I want to love this game, I really do. I want this to be the best halo game made but it simply isn’t. Front both experience for the player to a design standpoint. I don’t know what the hell 343i was thinking when they made this game but it’s absolutely atrocious. Terrible, cookie cutter map design, generic sci-fi Spartan armor, music that fails to score any epic moment, Immensely unbalanced maps as well as blatant lies on the number and variety, broken as hell spawns, aim acceleration, dead zones, bullet magnetism, Sprint break before hitting full speed when shot, extremely basic to a boring standard armor customization, micro transactions, non existent map rotation, also non existent skill matching, extremely inconsistent weapon time to kill’s, useless radar, no split screen, no social playlists at all when social halo shenanigans are the deepest reason this franchise created the dynasty we know today, stupidly bouncy vehicles (feels like I’m playing effin jelly car, and I’m a phenomenal halo driver) among many other needlessly gutted and rebuilt engines that worked perfectly fine before hand, thus completely ruining what halo is. You were handed a legendary legacy and effectively raped it for all it’s worth. Why ostracize and alienate the generation that put you where you are for inept halfwit kids with no understanding of this franchise? Honestly this game is a joke. 343i has taken a game that stood on the forefront of FPS games bringing unseen and unbeatable new mechanics, user experience and story to a halfbaked CoD level patchjob of a catchup game.
[Inb4>then quit, adapt or leave, get better etc. I’m a platinum to onyx ranked Spartan with 14 years of near religious level halo experience, because I know anyone without anything legitimate to say will try to use my stats against me, but good luck ;)]
Your just spouting off crap you’ve seen other parrot. If you think the vehicles here are bouncy go drive the Halo CE warthog. Social playlists are making a return, be patient.
I have no clue how a weapons ttk can change. That must be you. Sprint breaks like that because thats what people wanted. Those micro transactions that you in no way need to buy helped make the MLG pot the largest ever.

And it’s knobs like you that perpetuate the idea that voicing opinions does nothing. Why do you think the forums are here bud? To voice our likes and dislikes about the game to see them fixed or at least acknowledged. If you don’t see these problems you’re simply ignorant to the reality that these are problems a lot of people see and all of which pertaining to design flaws are proven correct. If you don’t give enough of a -Yoink- to speak up when you have a problem with something, you can go ahead and keep being spineless, but don’t be so arrogant as to trash other people for doing so. Makes you look like more of an ignorant -Yoink!- than you already do.

In your main post you go on to say 343 raped Bungies legacy. lawl.
You call a majority of the playerbase inept halfwit kids. You call that guy a -Yoink!-.
Your the problem here. You didn’t come here and voice your complaints in a reasonable way. You came here and cried.

And please explain to me how you know for fact that I myself haven’t experienced or noticed any of these problems myself? Whether or not you choose to believe these problems exist, they do. You can go ahead and stick your head in the sand about it, I couldn’t care less. Also, how does others stating a fact I have also noticed make it so I’m simply parroting? If one human says it ever I’m not allowed to reciprocate a response, agree, embellish that point, or even give my two cents? Besides all of that, it is pretty much the same bouncy garbage as halo CE, and that was over a decade ago, why is it that the 6th game they made this style suddenly took a massive step back?

So find the actual discussion threads for your problems like splitscreen? which was known months ago? and talk about them there instead of making what is clearly a rant/hate thread. Seriously.

Well, given that halo is going in an entirely different direction than it was originally, as well as the fact that the new generation they’re pulling in ARE CHILDREN WHO DONT KNOW THE FRANCHISE, I’m not wrong in saying that. Also I’m simply reciprocating the -Yoink- attitude you two brought in here right off the hop. So maybe check your own shoes before getting mad about the mud on the floor.
I cant even quote OP thanks to bypassing the word filter, but the forums are here for us to talk. Like any social place, we want to hear more then whine, whine, whine. Also, if you expect respect, dont swear and go off like a moody teenager that just learned a shiny new word. We are complaining about what we dont like (Ive contributed to a couple of threads) but remember CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

You are wrong in saying that. Halo isn’t made for you because you “came” into it early. As sad as it may make you 343i need to make money. Catering to a smaller population is not the way to do that.
I personally think this is the best Halo game since Halo 3. The aim was a little annoying at first but you just have to get used to it… It shouldn’t have to be exactly like old Halo’s (as good as they were). I think 343 has finally done a good job on a game seem to be keeping an eye on public opinion and will continue to put time and effort into their game to make it even better…
Skill matching seems to be fine for me I’m always against people around my level either just above or just below (or the same).
And the maps for me are the best since Halo 3… There was spawn traps on that and it was one of the best multiplayer games of its time!
It’s a massive game I think we just need to be patients and let it get through any teething problems

I never once said halo is for me, or made with me in mind. I’m stating that they’re alienating the generation that paved their road there via our wallets. It’s called respecting your roots instead of shutting on them. And obviously they want to bring in more players. Means more money, means more players for matches, means a hopefully more accurate skill matching system. But theres a right way and a wrong way of doing it, wrong way being essentially saying suck it to the ones who stood behind them from the beginning to bring in the new players. I’m all for more people to battle against but not in this situation at all. Combination of noob kids piled in war zone when it’s got far more tactical requirements than arena, and everything I said before it’s just a gongshow of no one being where they should be. I want to like this game, and I care that it’s not at it’s full potential. A little harshly worded reality doesn’t hurt.

You have every right to an opinion but you’ve listed zero good things about this game.
From your post you seem to hate just about everything about Halo 5. To change all that would result in a different game altogether. You and I both know you’ll never be happy with it and that all those changes you want will likely never happen.

I do hate just about everything about halo 5. It is almost entirely altered from all the previous titles, and I’m speaking from a design standpoint. And fixing what I stated would make it halo again. You’re saying that will never happen?

As a very long time fan of this series myself ( like you claim to be) I feel that they have done me a great service. This is possibly the most fun I have had with a halo game. Quit using that argument as if it is fact.
if you want to discuss the game and contribute to making it change, why not join the feedback program or create a constructive thread. Or I know, join in one of the thousands that exist. You aren’t a special flower with a perfect opinion so don’t come on bashing 343 and the people playing this game as it just makes you look like a salty immature whiner.
if you really hate the game then I guess you are out of luck. Maybe go back to MCC. Threads like this are worthless.

So you want it to be the same game as previous ones? Go play TMCC. Or COD. I hear COD doesn’t change every year.
The few things I do enjoy from this game however are the story, I find the dynamic between chief and Locke really interesting. I’m stoked buck is back and as a main character. I’m really interested with what is happening between blue team and ONI, as well as fireteam osiris. Honestly about half of the armor looks pretty sick, I should have clarified there, some just look to much like titanfall, Destiny, etc. I like the moba elements of war zone that bring a whole different play style to the game for me . (I dislike the masses of inexperienced players there only because of a lack of social playlists) I like that they’re trying to bring halo back into esports. I just see a huge number of flaws that took steps in the opposite direction, like bullet magnetism.
