So here I am, winding down after a day of school, work, general -Yoink-, and lots of Halo 4 discussion. I just want to say, despite some flaws (to be expected of course), 343, you are doing a fantastic job at the reigns. I hope you guys really take this criticism constructively, not to heart. I can clearly see all of your guys’ heart and dedication going into this game. Just from the ViDoc today and several months of seeing 343 behind the scenes, I can tell this is a very perfectly picked team to helm Halo’s future. I have never seen a team so hellbent on making THE perfect game, making a game their own. I have never seen so much love go into a universe of fiction. I’ve loved the Halo universe since I was 9. I’m 19, almost 20 now. I still proudly hang Halo posters in my room. I still wear my Shotgun ammo belt buckle, no matter how many times my girlfriend tells me to take it off. I even used boast about my Halo nerdom to hot girls at parties. Lucky for me, they thought it was cute. Yeah, I’m that dedicated. And I hope you guys are too, 'cause we’re all in it for the long haul. I just want to say thanks for all the cool new information today, and here’s to another fantastic decade of Halo and hopes for more!

I can tell, and thank god. I could tell Bungie was just losing their luster for Halo. They were done. They were out of new ideas for the game, and I don’t even think they wanted to think of new ones.
I agree with everything you just said good Sir! Been playing Halo since Combat Evolved and it was pretty much the first game that got me hooked and turned me into the gamer today. I am hugely impressed with the passion 343i has for Halo, they are doing a awesome job in blending the universe together with taking everything from the books and implementing it into future media. I was left speechless after watching the latest vidoc, especially seeing a few theories come to truth like the Spartan 4’s for multiplayer! Can not wait

Perks, custom loadouts and no dual wielding (no! they don’t :(). All I can say is that I really hope that this is the press shaping 343i’s words as we see fit, and I’m not gonna judge till I see it myself, but seriously 343, WHAT THE HELL?!
Visually it looks great. The audio I’ve heard sounds brilliant. That’s really all I can judge at the moment, and even those two areas are small right now. I’m not going to say I love it or hate it until I’ve experienced the gameplay and story myself.
I make a twin to this topic yesterday and it flied to the second page :’( but I totally agree with you.

Everything I’ve seen convinces me that 343 want to, and know how to, move the series in the right direction. The Graphics look beautiful - and with the artistic license you get with Halo, the game will be visually stunning. The audio sounds amazing, even from what little I’ve heard. I also like that they’re not taking the lazy “We’ll just make it like Halo 2” option. That wouldn’t progress the series. It wouldn’t attract new fans to the franchise. It would make it a relic. They seem to respect Halo and have the know-how to do right by it. Halo never became what it is by resting on it’s laurels and sticking to the exact same rigid formula. It’s innovated and moved forward, it’s blazed trails and I have full confidence that Halo 4 will continue this trend.
