But I don’t think I can anymore. When someone compares it to CoD, I’m just going to have to agree with them. Killcams, Player Loadouts, Sprinting, Care-Packages. I mean, and now with Dominion, it looks like they’re even lifting the Conquest mode from Battlefield. Granted, they are making it unique, but still.
It’s almost like Microsoft is forcing them to make it like CoD, because they see how much money that game makes and think a classic Halo game wouldn’t get the CoD Kiddies interested. The more I see of H4 and the attempts to pander to the CoD demographic, the more I want to cancel my pre-order of the limited edition. It’s a sad day when Halo is being twisted into this pathetic space-age knock-off of CoD.
I again don’t stand this stupid war between COD and halo. Both are decent series in their own right yet it seems like if your on one side you must hate the other. why? The only point you can argue is orginality which im sorry to be the one to inform you but that doesn’t exist anymore. Any game made now adays takes ideas from other sucessful companies and adds their own spin to it.
So you can’t argue orignality which brings us back to blindly hating on another series. Its all childish anyone who participates in such pointless arguments is flat out childish.
You are entitled to your opinion and if you feel the need to cancel your order, go for it. But I like both CoD and Halo… and I resent being called a “Kiddie”. It’s that type of attitude that alienates people.
Most of these features are nothing new and have been in many games other than CoD by the way.
I understand what you’re trying to say. I think too, that Halo is being used by Microsoft largely to make money. Of course, it’s business though! And not near the level how often Activision milks Call of Duty. However, I’m one to welcome most of the changes that 343 has made. I will not be calling Halo 4 a good or bad game until November 6. Maybe Halo is going in a wrong direction, but that’s based on opinion and Halo 4 hasn’t even come out yet.
Killcams, Player Loadouts, Sprinting, Care-Packages are all featured in Call of Duty. They’re not exclusive to Call of Duty, and plenty of games have used these features before and after CoD. In an alternate universe where Call of Duty doesn’t exist and I was a game developer, I think I could and would have thought of Killcams, Player Loadouts, Sprinting, and Care-Packes without knowing of CoD.
