Seriously, I don’t get why everyone is -Yoinking!-, its a demo for christ’s sake. I do however get why people would be frusturated with sprint, clambering and sliding returning because tahtw as pretty annoying but other than that and mabye that the weapons and graphics look to celan and almost plastic-ey, everything else looks amazing. Cant wait for the multiplayer reveal.

The Spartan Abilities actually me the least. I enjoy playing Halo 5. I have never wanted an open-world Halo, and seeing as it is an open-world Halo, I have no interest. Most of the weapons look nothing like Halo, and it looked bad. Nothing to do with the stream resolution, and Halo 5 had a downgrade from its beta.
I don’t know. I just know that I feel absolutely disappointed in Infinite now. I’m not exaggerating how gutted I am. If I wanted to play Destiny or Doom, I’d go do that.
Make no mistake, this is without divine intervention what the finished product will look like, we’ve seen this before with many other games. Imagine if the demo actually looks better than the finished game.

At least this actually looks like one with all the hexagonal pillars. This feels all over the place gameplay wise. halo 5 looks focused and clear-cut compared to this. I liked Halo 5 and this teaser worried me.
They’ve been working on this for years. Not much is changing in 3 or 4 months.
343 should have never said “spiritual reboot”… This is clearly another modern Halo game. I don’t know why they do that and misrepresent what they are bringing to the table.
This looks so like Apex Legends now - I’m really dissapointed
ALso - what the heck is now with the Halo 5 story???

Its the textures and lighting that are hurting it for me. The models look fine (even if the Banished Phantom looks weird, yet that is what its supposed to look like).

You know I gotta agree with you on that one, the textures are a bit iffy, but im still going to have faith in 343 since we’ve only see a very very small part of the game and a few weapons, sadly though in one of the images the grunts were holding a halo 5 plasma pistol which i have to be honest is the worst design of it yet. Im just praying this game isnt a reskin of halo 5.

This isn’t a demo its actual footage from the campaign and most of the fan base is unhappy with it because they spent 5 years developing it and the results were less than the prior product. The graphics are nearly as bad as Guardians and the weapon designs are that of doom and destinys esthetic
Teaser didn’t worry me at all. Both the demo and gameplay trailer showed a lot. Similar movement as in Halo 5 which is a bonus. New weapons which comes in every halo game so stop acting like thats a reason to not like it. Did not once show a thrust so maybe that is out. Showed the halo 3 BR in the gameplay trailer and it looks clean. I watched on 4k and the demo looked crisp. After multiple watches it looks like halo but also different which is good. Feels like a combo of multiple halos. Looking forward to the multiplayer reveal.
Sprint. Abilities. Annoying companion that would be better if muted. Lazy open world design. I don’t understand why anyone thinks that warrants getting excited. Game looks incredibly mediocre.
The art style is improved at least. But that’s about the only positive thing from this demo.
I loved it tho, it was just great. I didnt like sprint and graphics didn’t look good. I hope it gets improved. I don’t like weapon sounds
Most demos look better than the actual game it’s called putting your best foot forward. 343 and Microsoft showed this footage because they believed it was a highly polished look at their upcoming app. Make no mistake this is a nearly finished project and very little will be able to be changed from now until the game goes gold less than 4 months

One had a great campaign, the other had great multiplayer. It looks on par to deliver both to me.
It looks like a greatest hit mashup of all the best aspects from each game. It also makes me think of what would happen if Halo 1 and Halo 3 has a next gen baby.
I can not have everything I want in a halo game and I have come the accept that. We will never have another halo 3, and we should not want just another halo 3. I have my gripes with the visuals, but those can be fixed. The core gameplay look fantastic and I cant wait to see what 343 will do with an open world halo game. I don’t expect a Destiny style open world, but it’s own. Sprint is almost required in an open world just because of the vast distances, I dont like it but accept it. We will just have to see how it goes.
Could someone tell me if the mountains were just big blocky pillars or if they were something else? It struck me right off the bat and I was just confused about it.
