Honestly can we get a non-infinity slayer?

I’m so tired of getting screwed over by the infinity “random” drop. It seems like every game I have to fight against people getting incinerator cannons and binary rifles while I’m stuck getting nades, needler, and overshield. I just had 3 games in a row were all my ordinances were that same combination. I understand your weighting system but at some point it really sucks to work hard for a drop, getting nothing significant, and then die to people with the good power weapons.

Lately I’ve been scrolling through the top scorers of every slayer game and it’s always the same. They have 3 ordinances and they have medals for various snipers and power weapons. It’s become clear that the best way to do well is get a lucky drop and use it to earn the next one.

I’m not against Infinity Slayer, I just don’t think it’s a stable enough gametype to base 2 major playlists on. Sometimes it really is fun to see what you randomly get, but since it’s the only slayer playlist (and the only BTB playlist) I’m forced into it when I want to have a different experience.

So I’m throwing my hat into the ring asking for a “competitive” slayer playlist, or atleast add BTB objectives. That way I can vary my Halo4 experience and expect a more stable game.

For some ordinance feedback: reduce the opportunity for the ridiculous power weapons and reduce the chance for the weakest ones. IMO ordinance should rather consistently give medium power weapons, like the railgun, fuel rod, or sticky detonator, and rarely give weak ones like the needler and rarely give top tier ones like the cannon. That way getting a drop is more of an assurance of awesomeness with a bit of epic thrown in. And when you get a bad drop it’s more of a bad luck scenario than constantly getting stuck with needlers.

Just my two cents.

Pro slayer much?

> Pro slayer much?

Pro slayer is just as random to be honest…

> Pro slayer much?

  • No motion sensor
  • Three loadouts instead of three gametypes with one loadout each
  • No PP, Carbine, Storm Rifle, Bolt Shot, Light Rifle, Suppressor (They should be classic weapon spawns)

> Pro slayer much?

As was said, slayer-pro is not the playlist I’m looking for. I want to use my loadouts, fight for power position and weapon spawns, and control a map.

Playlist can’t replace each other, none of the slayer variants can deliver the same experience as the others.

Or at least make Infinity Slayer an option in a regular Slayer playlist. Slayer Pro is an absolute waste; if you aren’t going to properly deliver on a classic playlist, just don’t bother.

We definitely need a Slayer playlist with a mix of slayer modes. It should include Infinity slayer, Classic Slayer and maybe even bring back good ol’ “Tug of War” (Lose points for deaths, gain them for kills, good K/D is necessary to win)

It seems the more we ask for, the more clear it becomes that 343i want to force their new gametypes on us.

I rather like Slayer Pro, but I’m no fan of no-radar games when I don’t have a team who communicate.

> It’s really starting to feel that way. First with all of those challenges in Regicide and now by putting FFA throwback. It’s almost like they refuse to put it more popular classic playlists.
