You want my honest opinion?
Well, I thought it was great, one of the better made Call of Duty’s. The campaign is simply amazing! The cool thing is it’s one of those games where at certain points in the game, your actions determine how the story ends. By the way, major spoiler here, but I really want to share this. Don’t open the spoiler if you don’t want any spoilers…
Don’t shoot the guy with the bag over his head on the mission you play as Woods when you get a Barrett .50 cal and the two guys bring him out.
Oh yeah, I know what you’re thinking. Woods is still alive, if you didn’t know from the trailers.
I thought the story was awesome. The graphics in the campaign are pretty good. And I think it’s pretty cool that you can customize your loadout so you can start a campaign mission with any weapon you want, however you have to get to a certain mission and finish it to get some weapons.
The zombies are really cool. Tranzit is pretty awesome. I’m not gonna say much because I don’t play zombies very often. Not sure how the newer ones are because I haven’t played in a while and haven’t downloaded them.
The multiplayer is pretty fun to an extent. It definitely shows the age in the engine, though. I do like how they implemented the new create a class. The pick 10 system works great, and some of the perks were thrown out and made into attachments. For example, if you want steady aim, you have to put on a grip or laser sight, can’t remember which. Or, if you want slight of hand, you put fast mag on. Sadly you can’t put fast mag on LMGs so you’ll have to deal with the long reload.
Overall, I thought Black Ops II was really good. One more thing I forgot to mention is that the sounds on the guns, the reloads and the firing sounds, sound really crisp and real. The weapons look really cool. And when you prestige, you can get a coin where you can permanently unlock a weapon or perk and when you unlock certain stuff it keeps the stats from before you prestiged so you don’t lose EVERYTHING when you prestige. All in all I give the game a 7-8/10. I like it, and I think you might like it as well.
